Re: Table centerpieces

Re: Table centerpieces

^ yes, but so overdone and a little bit boring at this point, imho
you could do something like this instead of using petals?-- http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_b88p71zsDWE/TPz_vwtHqgI/AAAAAAAAAfU/zFPvmO6J5sw/s400/floatingbranchesbowl%2B-%2Bnon-floral%2Bcenterpieces.jpg

how about using fruits, branches, river rock/pebbles, mini topiaries, or lots and lots of candles on their own?

why no flowers, btw? is it a cost issue? because you can find lots of flowers bought in bulk will cost less generally speaking and using seasonal flowers helps keep costs down too.

Re: Table centerpieces

^ It's hard to prepare the centerpieces yourself then, cuz they can't really be done in advance.

Re: Table centerpieces

Do you have a theme or color scheme in mind? The season you're getting married in? Did you have a particular vision in your mind?

Re: Table centerpieces

also true with fresh flowers but personally i don't think centerpieces are something you should go DIY on as a bride. if you have someone you can delegate this to who isn't an immediate family member who will be required elsewhere, and is responsible and can handle making them a couple of days or the day before in advance and storing them properly, then they should be doing it. otherwise, find a florist. there is always someone out there willing to work in your budget, is what i've found. it just requires some effort and time to find that person. brides should not be worrying about centerpieces the day before their wedding!
