Taaseer..

Hi guys.. I dont know if it is an appropriate section for this post.. but gotta share..

Medical science dont believe in taaseer.. on the other hand it's too hot in here and because of it I am loosing appetite and my thirst for coldest water goes on and on.. we also say it like "garmi hogai hai" etc.. So what are your views ??

It's not just a Desi belief. Such views can also be found in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).

ahan.. thanks..

I dont think Medical science "not" believe in Taseer aka Efficacy. The cause n effect is still there. Ofcourse they look for an evidence behind that. Otherwise it'll be called a myth. For example the energy behind sunlight. And that tea has a cold internal effect. i.e. Thandi taaseer. I believe Science does validate it.

thanks for sharing budd..

Good question.:k:

Taaeer is effect.

It was very common philosophy in “TIbbiaat”.. Desi medicine.

Mangoe was considered Hot.

Banana was considered cold.

Kheera, kakRi, Kharbooza was cold.

Chana and Wheat was hot.

etc.

There was some truth to it. It had to do with metabolism and overall body feeling, enhancing sexual desire or sweating after consuming etc.

If you eat Mangoes you may feel hot/burning sensation in skin and sweat. People used to get pimples on skin or pustules.

Point is that Taaseer had two meanings in old days. Hot or cold.

But “Effectiveness” is another matter.

Yes, effectiveness is scientific.

Believing on any medicine that it will work has been shown effectiveness of medicine being stronger.

I just need to search those medical articles but you can do too.
