We need to promote the sport and provide facilities. People like farjad, nakhuda and others like atta abbass and azhar shaikh never got the type of exposure even a 3rd rate cricketer received.
And then there is the issue of facilties and equipment. Things may have changed now but during my stint in Pakistan there were only 3-4 clubs with quality tables in Karachi i.e. Islamia club, National Coaching Center, CAA club, Khokhar club and one in nazimabad area. To get the raquets, rubber sheets etc there were a few shops that stocked them.
With that sort of obstacles, and no real attention, its a wonder we are even ranked at what we are.
