Syria's Muslim Brotherhood states that Iran is the enemy

Iran’s support for Bashir Al-Assad is rapidly turning it into the enemy of Syria’s people. This is a powerful statement from the leader of Syria’s main Islamic movement, blaming Iran directly for the death in Syria.

STANBUL: Secretary-General of Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood, Mohammad Farouk Tayfour has hit out at “enemy” Iran for arming the Syrian regime, and described sponsor Turkey as a “model Islamic state.”

In an interview following what he described as a “disappointing outcome” at Sunday’s Friends of Syria conference in Istanbul, the Brotherhood’s most senior representative at the Syrian National Council in Istanbul also confronted Kurdish accusations that the Muslim Brotherhood is doing Turkey’s bidding to pursue an Islamic state in Syria.

He said the SNC is committed to a civil state representing all Syrians, but added that a new Syria should be proportionately represented.

“Islamic culturally and secular politically, [Turkey] is the model for the Islamic movement,” he told The Daily Star, adding, “the Iranian, on the other hand, is the worst.”

Tayfour, a longtime Brotherhood leader from Hama, left Syria during the persecution of the Brotherhood under Hafez Assad during the 1980s and is considered at the fore of the party’s political activities.

In January, Tayfour revealed during an interview with Al-Hayat that he had rejected a power-sharing offer from Iran, which was conditional on Bashar Assad remaining in power.

Asked whether the position would change if another offer should follow recent talks and upcoming meetings between Turkey and Iran, Tayfour was resolute: “The removal of Assad is a must.

“If they change their position on this, we’ll see, but for the moment, we know that Iran is supporting the regime.”

Tayfour said he had evidence Iran had agreed to supply arms through Iraq. “The contract was signed one month ago and activated a week ago,” he said. “They are killing our people, along with Russia, and so for that reason they are our enemy.”

Re: Syria's Muslim Brotherhood states that Iran is the enemy

While for Houthis in Yemen, Arab shias in Iraq, and shias in Bahrain, Saudi is the enemy.
What a load of cr**. Muslims have learned NOTHING during this advanced technological age. They still have medieval sectarian mentality.
The situation is so bad among the Middle Eastern Muslims that Saudi would actually help Israel when it comes to fight against Iran, and Iran would support a dictator when it comes to seeing its own friends in government.

It is for these reasons I feel like it is good that Muslims are not leading the world. They will only cause destruction and suffering in the world.
It is evident that Muslims, especially Middle Easterners, are incapable of having civilized disagreement and uniting for the sake of common culture and religion.

Re: Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood states that Iran is the enemy

straightfoward sunni vs shias

Re: Syria's Muslim Brotherhood states that Iran is the enemy

Alawis are as much shias as Wahhabis are sunnis. So it is no sunni vs shia, even though people celebrating killings of shias would like to see it that way.

Regardless of shia/sunnis, this fight is sectarian. This is why there is shia sunni bashing. And that's why I said that it is better to have goras controlling the world than these sectarian medieval brutes in the Middle East.
World in the hands of Muslims will only result in sectarian wars and killings. It is better for goras to keep Muslims under their thumb.

Take a look at Saudi actions in Bahrain and Yemen, and Syrian government's actions in its own country.

Re: Syria's Muslim Brotherhood states that Iran is the enemy

Boy, an average Pakistani's defination of the word 'moderate' is anything but moderate.

Re: Syria's Muslim Brotherhood states that Iran is the enemy

[note]please do not derail the thread, and besides this is not the proper forum for discussing theology. Secondly there are already so many divisions in our country on ethnic, religious and sectarian basis. We should bridge them and not try to exploit them for our political means, as thats the main reason for our decline as a nation[/note]

Re: Syria's Muslim Brotherhood states that Iran is the enemy

I bet this Muslim brotherhood is the apple of western media's eye. For now at least. The other brotherhood not so much.

Re: Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood states that Iran is the enemy

Well, here is more about Syrian Muslim Brotherhood. Such people consider everyone disagreeing with them an enemy, not just Iran.

Intelligence Chief Concerned About Al Qaeda in Syria Conflict
Director of National Intelligence James Clapper testified before Congress today that al Qaeda and Sunni extremists were seeking to gain influence in Syria, possibly infiltrating some of the fragmented opposition groups engaged in fighting there.

you are disturbed by the inability of saudi arabia and iran to unite for the sake of common culture and religion?

that's a rather bizarre view given that they do not share a common culture or ethnicity and they hardly share the same religion. they are natural rivals. if anything, the fact that they share hostility towards israel is a miracle.

Re: Syria's Muslim Brotherhood states that Iran is the enemy

They share different sects of the same religion, and the differences between their sects are less than or similar to the differences between Christian sects.
They share a very similar culture when compared to Indians or Europeans.

Saudia was hostile towards Israel may be 3-4 decades ago which lasted with the assassination of King Faisal. Now they are leading allies against the Iran led anti US block of the ME.

Re: Syria's Muslim Brotherhood states that Iran is the enemy

the leadership of saudi arabia and turkey do not reflect true reflection of public opinion in muslim world.

The public opinion of the muslim populations is universal in their disgust and hatred towards the pirate state of israel no doubts about that.
The public opinion is also angry at what is going on in syria and the inability of the usual suspects i.e puppets rulers to defend the muslims in syria yet again!
