It had really good reviews in the TIME a couple of weeks back and was scheduled to be out this week. Has anyone seen it? None of the theaters in my area are showing it, otherwise seems like a move I wouldn’t mind paying more than a buck.

*ahmadjee bhaijaan, it’s from Hollywood and it’s been cleared for screening.. and it’s based on an ex-CIA’s book which was allowed to be published in the USA.. that’s enough for me not to hold my breath for anything refreshingly honest…

PA Bhaijaan, If I can watch lies like a bunch of friends living in a NYC apartment without real jobs and enjoying life as entertainment, I am sure I can live with some lies about the CIA & the middle-east. I enjoyed watching Siege (or whatever the name was of the movie) where all the Muslims complaint that they have showed the Mujahideen in a bad light, while red-necks complained that they put a human face to terror.

Clooney just might get a Best Actor and Best Director Nom. this year.

Did anyone watch 3 kings- the matt damon and George Clooney Desert Stomr (I) movie? I found that really good in showing the "real" motivations....in a very Hollywood palatable way.
I thought Syriana may be something like that...

you're right but i doubt this movie will be anything like Three Kings. This is right out of a book about an ex-CIA's ramblings of how no one except him had any clue in the CIA.

btw ahmadjee bhaijaan, Friends isn't too hard to believe if you also swallow their plot.. A professional Chef, a PhD Professor, a Data Processing Executive, A massage therapist.. i think they all earn decent money.. (acting gigs on long running Soaps + Purchaser in PRL aren't too shabby either). With rent control figured in and no savings at all, it wouldn't be too hard to place them in a upper Manhattan West side walkup.
