well USA is planning to sweep the whole of middleast and control as much of it as possible. it would be nice for israel to take control of these places as a partner with USA :-)

I hope Syria is shipping military equipment to Iraq. The US cowards have no right to warn them since the US were making illegal military sales to Iran while being best friends with Saddam in the 80's. US can go to hell.
BEIRUT, March 27 (Reuters) - Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said on Thursday the United States and Britain, waging a war on Iraq, would never be able to subdue the whole country and warned Syria might be the next target on Washington’s list.
In a front-page interview with Lebanon’s as-Safir newspaper, Assad, a staunch opponent of the war, also slammed a proposed “roadmap” for Israeli-Palestinian peace as falling short of Palestinian rights and said it would fail.
“For sure, the United States is a superpower that can occupy a relatively small country… The United States and Britain will not be able to control all of Iraq. There will be much tougher resistance,” Assad said.
“But if the American-British designs succeed – and we hope they do not succeed and we doubt that they will – there will be Arab popular resistance, and this has begun.”
Syria, on a U.S. list of states sponsoring terrorism for supporting Lebanon’s Hizbollah guerrilla group and Palestinian organisations fighting Israel, has led Arab opposition to the Iraq war, which began last week.
Asked if he believed Syria would be next on Washington’s target list, Assad said: “The possibility is always there.”
“As long as Israel exists, the threat is there. As long as there is an aggression on an Arab country and a war on our borders, the danger is there…But worry does not translate to fear.”

(CNN) – U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld issued a warning to Syria Friday, saying it would be held accountable for shipments of military equipment – including night-vision goggles – that have been moved across the border into Iraq.
The Pentagon does not want “neighboring countries or anyone else” to be assisting the Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein, Rumsfeld told reporters.
“These deliveries pose a direct threat to the lives of coalition forces. We consider such trafficking as hostile acts and will hold the Syrian government accountable for such shipments,” Rumsfeld said at a Pentagon briefing.
Rumsfeld also warned any country against sending any “military forces, intelligence personnel or proxies” into Iraq that are not under the control of Gen. Tommy Franks, chief of the U.S. Central Command.
The secretary specifically mentioned the Badr Corps, troops “trained, equipped and directed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard.”
Rumsfeld said Badr Corps troops would be considered “combatants” and said the coalition “would hold the Iranian government responsible for their actions.”

“We have information that shipments of military supplies have been crossing the border from Syria into Iraq, including night vision goggles,” he said at a Pentagon (news - web sites) news conference.
“These deliveries pose a direct threat to the lives of coalition forces. We consider such trafficking as hostile acts and will hold the Syrian government accountable for such shipments,” he said.
He also said that hundreds of Iranian-backed Iraqi rebels had been seen coming into Iraq, in reference to the Badr Corps, the military wing of the Supreme Council on Islamic Revolution in Iraq, the main Iran-based Iraqi opposition movement.
“The Badr Corps is trained, equipped and directed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard and we will hold the Iranian government responsible for their actions and will view Badr Corps activity inside Iraq as unhelpful,” said Rumsfeld.
“Armed Badr Corps members found in Iraq will have to be treated as combattants,” he said.

If USA can team up with Britain, why can't Iraq with Syria?
I believe time is appropriate for Pakistan, Iran, Saudia Arabia, Jordan and Syria to pin down USA and Britain. If all these countries converge from all directions, there is little the "coalition" can do to avoid total decapitation.
