Syria could be next, warns Washington

The straws you are grasping have to be the shortest straws I have ever seen. :) If you need to rely upon a hypothetical of the US going to war with Germany or Japan to make your point, perhaps it is a point not worth making.

may be... but I was looking at it from their 'freedom' perspective, not necessarily from combat perspective.

Freedom does not mean they are free to wage war agains the US. Germany and Japan are not viable examples anyway. Democracies do not go to war with other democracies.

There are bad apples in every country Changez. Weak debate tactic.

OK Lets ask the people of Okinawa in Japan ....or lets ask the people of Korea who recently demonstrated against US presence there, I haven't seen or met a single Korean who is happy or even tolerant of the US presence there. Lets ask the people of Jacobabad in Pakistan who demonstrate outside Shahbaz Airbase. Lets ask the people of Saudi Arabia as to why American Troops have to be housed in fortress like compunds where each entering vehicle is subject to intense screening. Lets ask many many more people... Look I woul be the last person to say that the US military is all bad, but on the flip side the assumption that US troops are welcomed where ever they go is also not an accurate statement either.

But they are free to go to war with anyone else against the will of thier own people?

So it means they are under certain control. right?

Because they aren’t democratic?

:hehe: :rotfl: thanks for the laugh :k:

For all the US yes-men here on this group, here is a hadith from the Prophet (PBUH)

"You will follow the ways of those who came before you foot by foot and yard by yard and even if they go down a lizard's hole, you will follow them."

Keep up your support for these Zionist neo-conservative rednecks and you'll be be taken for one heck of a ride. Now its Syria, next thing you'll be supporting the US bombing of Mecca and Madina, and if the jews take down the Aqsa mosque, sure you'll be convinced that the muslims were hiding WMD there.

Well, I think U.S. has no right to police the whole world. Right or wrong, invasion is still invasion. Its like returning to medieval ages, barbarians invading other places!

We will see how it feels if American people get invaded by someone in that name of freeing the country from Zionists and Bush.

Syria could be next, I'm afraid. Washington and London will go on with the same procedure by claiming Syria to have WMD's, giving shelter to Saddam's regime memebers and even Saddam. They will also blame Syria for stealing 1 billion worth of oil. And then support for Hizbolluah has always been high in Syria. For Uncle Sam and Poodler, Hizbolluah is a Terrorist Organization; ignoring human rights violation done by the Israeli Army and the Fat Butcher Sharon.

For now, Bush will celebrate Easter and present Iraqi Freedom Victory to Sr. Bush. Syria threat to the US and World plot will most likely to be use in the 2004 Election agenda as Bush used Iraq in the mid-term election past fall.

U.S. troops are welcomed where their bases are located.

++++

The bases are like cities.

mmm. some country is making some big mola there.

I don't mean to be snoobish.

My bro is due at the Saudi Base in June.

He is some sort of colonel. Something after a major.

This is where Americans seem to have the problem.. keep your mouth shut if you can. There was no need to say this.

America would enter Syria to snatch Saddam](http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,5944-649637,00.html)

AMERICAN commanders have promised to launch a “snatch-and-shoot” raid for Saddam Hussein if they track him to a hiding place in Syria.

The proposal, which will fuel tensions between Washington and Damascus, was condemned by British military officers as a breach of international law that would add to regional instability.

British and US intelligence agencies are uncertain whether Saddam is even alive, let alone where he is. …

At the end of the day when Rumsfeld does decide to send troops in syria (whether it may be for saddam or the elusive WMDs or even OBL or whatever) tony blair will im sure comply and get his nose brown for the upteenth time sticking it up Bush's arse! Rummmy had already said if Tony faces pressure at home, we will occypy iraq unilaterally.

You know Syria is almost off the WHO's NEXT list. With plans of the Iraq Israel pipeline, the US will literally starve Syria of oil, and on top of that might impose sanctions. Syria will have no other choice but to clamp down on hizballah or any other Palestinian resistance groups. This leaves Iran, Saudia and possibly Pakistan on the hitlist. I include Pakistan cuz it'll be the only country left that could trouble Israel in the future. And if you dont believe me then just hear what the first Prime Minister of Israel had to say:

"It is essential that we...strike and crush Pakistanis, enemies of Jews and Zionism, by all disguised and secret plans." -- David Ben Gurion, the first Israeli Prime Minister.

This doesn’t help the war against Islam.

Syria hails easing tension with U.S.

Amid Iraq row, foreign minister welcomes remarks by Bush
DAMASCUS, April 21 — Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa welcomed President Bush’s positive remarks about Syria, saying Monday that his country wants dialogue and not heated exchanges with the United States. Al-Sharaa, speaking in advance of a visit here by Secretary of State Colin Powell, also said Syria has sealed its border with Iraq and that anyone crossing into the country would require a visa.
