Could be anything…or thyroid issues. Don’t take these symptoms lightly. If you have a family member with a history, or any of these symptoms, go see your doctor and ask about TSH, a blood test that can detect thyroid disease.
very right symptoms niksik u hv described...also mood swings n irritation in mood like get angry often, tiredness after little walk n desire to take rest very often ect.but i hv a question dat if someone has diagnosed thyroid disorder problem n hv started his thyroxine then for how long these symptoms would stay like hairloss is not temporary problem n wen there is reason behind it(thyroid disorder) then would it b difficult to handle dat??i heard dat symtoms remain for some year even when ur thyroid activity is balanced.dont know the fact..?
TKS Niksik.. I had a thyroid problem but it was balanced after medication.. I didn't know about the forgetfulness thingie, I actually am tending to forget a lot these days and it was worrying me.. Maybe i should get a fresh check up done.

Hair loss can be b/c of both excess and loss of thyroid hormone OR also b/c of the toxicity of the drug you must be taking. Also, when the diet is poor [as in case of hypothyroidism] hair loss is expected as in not much of the nutrition will be available for hair growth b/c it will shut down its own nutrition supply to redirect energy somewhere else.
About for how long symptoms remains - it depends on individual to individual.
For Hyper i.e. Graves tend to occur mostly in women between the ages of 20-40 yrs. Women between these ages should get checked out if they believe they have symptoms of hyperthyroidism.
For Hypo i.e Hashimoto tend to occur commonly in women between the ages of 30-50.
so, yea if one desire and suspect probs with their thyroid after the age of 20 its better to talk to their physician and get their advice.
^ After my son's birth My doc took a blood test and found it .
But started treatment after 9 years when i started to see common symptoms like weight gain ,suscle cramps, tiredness etc.
i think i may have that im soo constatly tired and need more sleep and im really forgetfull for the last couple of months but i had a blood test the other month it came bk fine...?
I went to docters few days back, after i told her all my problems ,she recomended me tests for thyroid but alhumdulilah they all are fine,so i dont understand whats is the problem with me,it has been up to three months with all these problems.
Can pain in chest muscles can creat these type of problems too, like short breathing, weakness, and feeling tired after little exhustion?????
If i remember clearly, thyroid problems sometimes means that the person's B12 is low, so get that checked out too in your blood test.
Thyroid problems and B12 usually aren't directly related, though a B12 deficiency can cause some of the same symptoms...fatigue, shortness of breath, hair loss, palpitations, etc.
If the B12 deficiency is caused by an autoimmune problem (called pernicious anemia), then that could predispose you to developing other autoimmune problems, which can include hypo and hyperthyroidism.
