Switzerland becomes a Schengen country

On 5 June 2005 the Swiss people accepted the agreements on Schengen/Dublin. 54,6% of the voters were in favour of these agreements. Participation in the vote reached 56%.

This means the end of passport controls at the borders between Switzerland and Schengen countries, ie Italy, Germany, France, Austria.

humm.... switzerland was the only country where a pakistani could go without a visa , that is , if he had a visa for UK for more then 6 months.

^^ If you have a residential visa for the UK you can get a Schengen visa very easily anyway and vice versa.
