^^^ I think we arguing over semantics when they mean exactly some. Btw, just b/c you file motion to appeal doesn’t mean verdict of trial court is automatically get set aside pending appeal. In this case, court heard the argument and overturned the lower courts decision.

The court set aside the original punishment pending the result of the appeal which was never contested. If there was nothing in the case then BB should have contested and come out clean, why take advantage of NRO?
The Geneva Police Tribunal has accepted her appeal and quashed the six-month suspended sentences ordered by Devaud,Babar said.
But the quashing of the convictions by the police tribunal is only a temporary reprieve for Benazir. The PPP-Senator explained the case was far from being over.

Again, you are implying through twisted words that Benazir and Zardari were declared innocent, which is not the case.
They were declared guilty by the trial court. The appeals court only agreed to listen to their appeal. The appeal court was still in the process, and BB and Zardari had been told to come and defend themselves, as they are the ones who had filed the appeal. But they did not show up. This appeal was filed in 2003.
I have a feeling that BB had been in backdoor discussions for an NRO with Musharraf for an eventual return since 2003, as she knew they could not defend the money laundering and bribery charges....so it was vital for her to find an alternate solution.

If Zardari was innocent, he would have sent the letter to the Swiss authorities 3 years ago. It is sad that we have a someone as president just because the position comes with immunity and it is tragic that sensible people support him.

What a way to prove some thing . Fake case are no more anywhere and every one is innocent who is not proven guilty . Now come out from blame game . This will give you nothing .
