I have a question…are pings more for mehndis or shaadi? I’ve seen them mostly in mendi pics but if they look more elegant than the red indian desi thrones ppl rent for wedding :S

Also, whats a reasonable price to rent one of these? I was quoted $ 500 :S …

i think swings look nice more on mendi's than weddings...but i guess who ever dec's ur hall u should be able to hire one from them

I have seen it on Mehndi but perhaps it can be decked out for the wedding..

okiii--i'm beginning to think its better for the mehndi since it blocks ppl in pics for the shaadi :D but any ideas on the price??

I’ve only ever seen it at mehndis. I’d have hated to have a swing at my wedding, imagine trying to manouvere yourself up onto one elegantley with all your jewellery and heavy lengha etc :hehe:

I had one at my mehendi, that my brother bought from Home Depot (i think) for about $100. He assmebled it himself and then both my sibs and friend decorated it themselves.

yeah..you d be much more comfortable on a chaise or a sofa for your shadi day....a swing would be a little informal...

So yess I have decided on a ping for the mehndi...Its one of those desi pings from Indian wedding planners and I just get the feeling I'm being ripped off...other option (like Ira) is to actually buy one from Canadian Tire or Home Depot and desify it with orange and yellow carnations and make seat covers with yellow silk and stufff...

Does anyone have a picture of a gora swing converted to mendi desi ping??..Ira?
