Are there any nice and clean places where girls can take swimming lessons in Lahore? With a proper certified instructor, preferably in Defence or somewhere close by it. I’m going to be there soon and would like to learn to swim!

Yes we have a really hygienic pool called the Nehr, otherwise known as the world's longest pool. It is a free for all, mixed sex pool, hopefully that's not a problem for you.

Yes that is a problem, when I said girls I meant all girls. Doesn't this pool have special timings or lessons for only girls? Or are there any that do?

You forgot to mention the dogs, cats, cattles and donkeys swimming together.....
You can go to defence club or shapes fitness club, they both have swimming pools for ladies only.

M not sure, shapes does have instructors, no idea about defence club.

For Shapes the pool costs about 6000 rupees per month. Defence Club has membership issues, not everyone can get in.

Thanks guys, how does one get into the Defence Club? Is there a waiting list or something? Do either of the pools have a drop in program?

I think drop in is only possible with a member. They might still charge for that. The problem in Lahore is most good pools are located in these fitness clubs, and all these clubs charge an extravagant membership fee, you can't join on a monthly basis.

And apart from pool fee you have to pay a one time registration fee first, which will 5 to 6 thousand. Defence club may be for defence people only. Once my neighbor offered me to go with her, saying that she can bring in guests.
If you an pay more, you can get in in anywhere in Pakistan :)

Does that mean anyone living in Defence can get into the defence club? I will be living there and it'd be nice to go somewhere close by.
