Sweet sweet oil

Today the price of a barrel touched $78.

I wonder what Mr. Murti and fellows think now who were projecting $200 a barrel oil. Oh wait, these days they must be worried if they will have a job next week?

Re: Sweet sweet oil

But why the prices at the pump are not reflecting that drop though ? What is your opinion about that ?

Re: Sweet sweet oil

^^ no it takes time because that oil bought on that price has to be refined and then sold, so it will probably take 2-3 weeks before it reflects the price

and also those OPEC idiots are on purpose going to cut back on supplies to make the price artificially high

That's a good thing, it keeps the public wanting and supporting energy technologies that help get us off oil.

Not really. When prices hit highest in futures market the retail prices hit all-time high as well, there was no delay of 2-3 weeks.

Re: Sweet sweet oil

Damn u guys r lucky :S crude prices are falling but canadian dollar is falling aswell so we still have high gas prices :S still above a buck

Re: Sweet sweet oil

Re: Sweet sweet oil

^ I paid $2.81 :stuck_out_tongue:

Soon we’ll see prices around $2.2-2.4 per gallon :insh:

Re: Sweet sweet oil

we are still paying 1.02 for a litre and we r second largest oil producing nation :(

Re: Sweet sweet oil

Yeah, it's all that expensive universal health care tax. :D j/k

Since when?

Isn't canadian oil costly to produce because of sand particles comparable to the tough seas of northern england?

Its their product so why shouldn't they? US protected US steel by high tarrifs and some say that was unethical and against 'free trade'.

Yes that is coming from an american!
