Bidh = sweets packet
Chuaaray = dried dates
The two words don’t mean the same thing.
Traditionally, bidh packets include chuaara (dried date), misri (crystallized sugar lumps), soonf (supaari), kishmish (raisin), badaam (almonds), makhaanay (the round white ball made of sugar), and a toffee.
Distributing dates is sunnat. Rest is just to fill up the packet and include sugary things that kids would like.
