Wash the sweater and generally squeeze to take the water out - hang them on hanger (if yarn is not pure cotton) and let it dry naturally (no dryers) - Generally you wont have any wrinkles when the sweater will dry this way so you'll not have to press it.

hang the sweater on a hanger immediately after it comes out of the laundry

All gud. But if u open packed sweater, wrinkles would be there. So how do i remove if i hv wear immediatly.
I hv pressed as above mention with lawn duppatta but didnt remove and it loose.
