aaah i loved this movie :k: ..
it showed like…two OPPOSITE worlds…aik saath…
it was such a weird feeling…
aik taraf umreeka…NASA…dunya bhar ki technologies…or aik taraf india ka aik chota sa gaoon…jahan train tak nahi jaati…jahan computer nahi internet nahi…
n it was like…aik hi aadmi (shahrukh) keh under dono dunya qaid hein…
n how hez dealing with BOTH…
for a moment i was wondering if i needed to get back home and settle down.. i always think like why am i away from my loved ones and living in a land where i am called "ALIEN"! why cant i go back to the place where i rightfully belong and where i can claim my own.. where i can live with my head held up high.. where i can be at home in every aspect of my life... where i will never ever feel lonely..
but the lure of the greenback is just too strong :(
Yea i liked that movie 2 :) But one thing was stupid Shah in the movie he works for the Nasa and Nasa pplz are good in maths, but when he was in India and he works in a store of his friends and he use a calulator that was kinda strange. And i like that tara song lol!! or whatever it was
Well after reading all these rave reviews, I am extremely pissed. I got the Swades/Veer Zara DVD recently from Karachi, only to come home and discover that it doesn’t work. Now I have to wait till it’s on B4U.
i am not a defender for ashutosh gowarikar but what i have myself observed is that once u get used to luxury u dont take it seriously.. like i used to do a lot of calcs in my mind back home but now in the us, i user the calculator in windows a lot more than ever.. a few years down the lane and i will be as good as an average american who needs a calc to do 1+1
Hmmm am I the only person who didn't like this film? It's the first shah rukh film that I didn't like. I didn't particularly like any of the songs either.
^^ yes tabassum - that's quite alright cuz it wasnt the average lovey dovey chicflick SRK movie... and songs weren't meant to be in the movie in the first place :p
to me, now that I've seen Swades, SRK just looks gay in every other movie he's done before.
