Ok I got this cd last night as I was waiting for my stuff at the local halal store. This is the first bollywood movie soundtrack that I have bought in a long long time and I think I am hooked.

hmmm acha hay lekin udaas sa hae...A.R Rahman always has this melancholy touch to his moosik...innit?
ARR has lost his charm. Will you guys agree? It has been so long since he gave any original (not repeating himself) or chart buster sound track. I was not even impressed by Lagaan. I know most of the ppl liked it, but for me it was below average album.

A.R. Rahman is like Shahrukh Khan...they're good but they're always producing the same kind of stuff...AR's music is always the same and SK's acting is always the same...so a time comes when one gets saturated with it...specially coz if its depressing/melancholy/mournful streak...AR's music has that...i dono what it is...but it makes u feel sad..me dont like dat...

I am listening all the songs of Swades for few days and every song is good.I liked most "yah tara woh tara " …don’t who is the child artist (girl & boy both). They sung it very well with udit narayan.
There are two instrumental compositions for “pal hai bhari” and “yeh jo des hai tera” It’s simple awesome. :k: Good music specially Bansuri,santoor and shahnai :k:
I love the songs of swades.I feel it different than A R Rahman’s other compositions.
