I don’t like Sushi because I can’t accept the fact that its raw meat. I know they marinate it in vinegar etc. for few hrs but still it is uncooked.
So is it Halal???

A) It's not raw meat, it's raw fish
B) Only one form of sushi is actually raw fish - the one called sashimi. Other forms of sushi are cooked.

I just prepared different kinds of sushi for dinner today, so I will tell you what I learnt at my sushi cooking class.
Sushi can be made with both cooked or raw fish/shellfish/eggs/vegetables etc. Rice is also usually used within/outside the morsel.
Sashimi is raw fish/shellfish. Sashimi is served with rice on the side.
Sushi/sashimi fish is usually not marinated in vinegar. The dish you are probably thinking of is Ceviche. It is a Spanish/Latin American way of serving raw fish after marination in vinegar. This sort of cooks the fish without heat. I am not sure what the biochemistry of this process is. A version on Chevice is also seen in Southeast Asian cooking (Vietnamese, Cambodian etc).
I will let someone else answer the halaal question because I do not know.

A) Fish is meat too - white meat
B) Not only One form - There are quite a few actually. The original sushi is raw. The sushi served in upper scale restaurant is usually raw.

You are right. There are several types of Sushi. The main or most popular is Raw Fish or raw Sea Food such as scallops are served raw too.
The veggie and rice is ofcourse halal.

It’s halal without a doubt. Likewise, you can grab a piece of raw “halal” meat and eat it - Don’t try it with chicken though

Sashimi with wasabi suace is excellent. In arab world a very small fish (forgot the name) is dried and salted and and eaten uncooked very commonly.
