This is one is no threat, but what if we get hit by an asteroid similar to the one that killed dinosaurs? You think we could survive? What if instead of figuring out ways to colonize other planets, we should focus on creating an under the ocean habitat for humans to move to if above the sea atmosphere becomes too dangerous to live
The rich could possibly survive and adapt.. the poor would probably be finished imo, bar those who are "exceptional" in some way (for ex their dna or natural ability)..
Creating a below-sea habitat seems too impractical for so many reasons. If science does advance to the level where we can think of creating a below sea living space, then Im sure it would be equally advanced to do something like the movie Armageddon and destroy/splinter/divert an asteroid well before it comes within a million miles of earth.
