Survey (everyone must read!)

Here’s the survey I mentioned a couple of times. It’s for an important report I have to do so help would be greatly appreciated.

A survey on the extent to which political situations and historical incidents affect interactions between average people today.

  1. The name of your country (optional) ___________________________________

  2. Do you live at home or abroad? _________

  3. Age (optional) ______

4)If you met someone from a countrywhich is involved in conflict with your country or has been in the past (for example, conflict between India and Pakistan), how would it affect your behaviour towards them?
A) Wouldn’t affect me at all. Who cares what’s happening, or has happened, between our countries?
B) The conflict would enter my mind but it would not be a deciding factor in our friendship.
c) I would act normally towards them, maybe even become friends, but would not expect the friendship to go far.
d) Wouldn’t want to become friends with them but act civil towards them anyway.
e) Ignore them completely.
f) Other _____________________

  1. Would the factors mentioned in the first question affect your decision to go out with (or in later cases, marry) them?
    a) Not in the least.
    b) While I wouldn’t expect to do so, I wouldn’t count it out as a possibilty. And if I fell in love with someone, their nationality/race would not affect me at all.
    c) Go out, maybe. Marry, never.
    d) Not even an option. I would never contemplate marrying or going out with someone from such a country.
    e) Other ___________________

  2. Are you drawn towards people from your country in international situtions (like your school, college or job maybe)?
    a) No.
    b) It’s not a deciding factor in my friendship with people but I normally do become friends with people from my own country because of similar cultural factors.
    c) Yes, I am.
    d) I only become friends with people from my own country.
    e) Other _____________

Muzna, thank you so much for your mail. I was planning to mail you back yesterday but I had some work to do - would just like to say that it was nice of you to get back to me so soon and I don't expect you to change anything just to fit this survey, although that was an extremely nice though. Thanks once again.

Okay, thanks again, and keep the replies coming! :)
