County champions Surrey have re-signed Pakistan internationals Saqlain Mushtaq and Azhar Mahmood on two-year contracts.
Off-spinner Saqlain has been with the club since 1997 while all-rounder Mahmood had a spell at The Oval at the beginning of last season.
Cricket manager Keith Medlycott said: "Azhar made a big impression on the side during his short spell at the start of last season.
"He fitted straight into the team and I am extremely pleased that we have signed him on a two-year contract.
“Saqlain has been an integral member of the team in the last five years and has been instrumental in our recent success.”
Surrey have also extended the contracts of young players Tim Murtagh and Phil Sampson, while James Benning has signed his first full-time contract with club.
Good to see Azhar getting county exposure. It will help him improve his game.
We need player's like Imran Nazir, Mizbah ul Haq, young guys like them need to be exposed more and more to international conditions, guys like Saqi, Azhar, Razzaq, Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar are now considered experienced players, their job is to serve their contry at all times possible.

What I mean by my previous statement is that our young players need to play international county cricket more than our experienced players.
Specially guys like Imran Nazir who has no thinking when he bats.
These ppl just chase the ££££-Shoaib chose to play for Lashing over Pak recently-remember that!?
CC has ruined many of our players, it blunted Waqar and Saqlian has lost much of his secrecy against the players who face him in CC-thus is less successful at the Intl. level.
