Had a chance to play with it for a few hours this weekend.
Loved the feel of it. Good solid material. Negative: due to the folding stand which in itself is an awesome feature, you cannot put a cover on it so just after an hour of handling it, there were horrible fingerprints all over the back. For someone like me, I’d have to carry wipes!
This one had a touch cover. Didn’t like it much. It relies on pressure sensors so too many mistakes. The touch pad wasn’t that great either. I guess the type cover would be my preference. The touch screen response was pretty good though.
OK, battery life is pretty good. 7-8 hours while in heavy use. Speakers weren’t that great and the WiFi connectivity, well, it didn’t do too well in my home but that could have been a chance happening. Excellent screen resolution.
The OS, well, no complaints. It comes with Office Suite which includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint. If you’re a PC user, it’s a very familiar environment. The new Windows tiles are cute and need a little getting used to but if you were sharing your tablet, you’d have to have some privacy controls set up.
All in all, I like it a lot. I don’t have any use for it though and it costs a bit much I think. Just wanted to share.
Very bad. I wouldn't want my fraands pictures to show on a tile. But if u and I have thought of that, I think Windows must have an option there to disable the display. You'd still have a Social Networking "tile" for example but it just has generic images and you have to click on it to access personal data.
