Sureele Bhikaaree

Is it hereditary among beggars to have some melodious voice when they beg?

Found out many sureele bhikari wandering over there (though some are very irritating… specially one who take a full stop after each word. Uncle. Mere. Chote. Chote. Behn. Bhai. Hain. Ghar. Main. Ration. Nhain. Hai).

Re: Sureele Bhikaaree

Singers like Reshma and Mai Bhagi used to beg before someone found their talent. In Sindh, there is a caste 'Manganhaar- Maangne wale', these people play music instruments (Dhol, etc) in wedding ceremonies to earn their bread and butter.

Strange!
How do they manage to dress like a proper beggar with a kashkol in their hands and large beaded necklace in their necks :hmmm:

Re: Sureele Bhikaaree

Its their pehnawa… Like Kings and rulers used to have necklaces and taaj in old times

Khany ko paisy ni or in sab cheezun k liye hain?

Re: Sureele Bhikaaree

:hmmm: I think their community sponsor all these things
