This film looked terrific when the promos started playing out way back in '95/'96! Whatever happened to it? I was able to get one song from youtube which looks fantastic (even though the melody is “inspired” from foreign sources), but seriously, the aerial shots of the coastline and the helicopter are awesome.
The film starred a former Miss Karachi (!) along with some male models who subsequently appeared in toothpaste commercials. Would love to know if someone who was associated in some manner with the production team can give us the inside story as to why this film was shelved.
that song was copied from jessica simpsons song take my breath away...neways i love this urdu one.......i remember this girl......i am not sure some one says that the film never got completed coz the director was arrested n the girl was murdered...n some1 says that the girl is still alive....btw this video is edited coz it was bold or sommet. (for that time) right?......also someone says the film was xcellent....
i have heard that the producer & director Mehmood Sipra was arrested and convicted in London for some frogery case, for 20 years. This happened during shooting of film, so the film is left incomplete and never released
The film was directed by Mehmud Sipra -- an American-Pakistani apparently.
It also had some other excellent tracks, let me see if I can find them on the net. One of them I remember was called Yun Besabab Mila Karo which was shot on the (late) Maharaj Kathak and the heroine, besides a fountain or something if I remember correctly. I so want to watch this film it seems like Lahore's answer to Top Gun -- with added song, dance and tons of masala hehe!

ok…u know wat when u wrote youn besabab mila karo is another track from this movie picturised on maharaj khatak n the girl…i assumed that maharaj is one of the main dude n the picturisation of this song must hv been some kind of saucy (aint sure but just thought) ( initially i was like this dude has such a big name for his age)…neways i googled maharaj’s name for the picture n the bab jee came up (i know him but sort of forgot his name) n i was like wat this baba jee did a saucy song in a film…but now i understand he must hv been there playing his sitar/tabla (like he normally appears)
The song was a very tasteful ghazal number sung by Tahira Syed (I think). It was picturized like some riyaaz session with the maharaj and the leading lady.
Anyway do check the funky garam hawaeintrack…its super cool!
