Surah Qiyamah

the letter of Allah swt for us is a guide. sharing it and gaining insight in to its message is one humble manner of reaffirming one’s very reason for existence.

it is true that some things as thinking creatures of the Maker, we are not able to critique and fully know the epistemic reasons for all creation from its beginning to its veritable end.

yet the following from Surah Qiyamah or The Resurrection is able to do just that - reiterate the perpetual admonishment about the destiny of Mankind.

[75:1-40] Eschew all Evil: for man was not created without purpose or without responsibility.

The Day of Account will come, and his own conscience bears witness that he must walk straight; for he must face that Day’s Realities. With patience await the unfoldment of God’s view. The faces of the Blest will beam with brightness and beauty. For the others, Death will be a terror–for duties neglected and sins committed. Woe unto man that he thinks not now of God’s Purpose and the noble Destiny for which God gave him life and its Gifts.

Re: Surah Qiyamah

And then which of the favours of your lord will you deny?

It is Allah's mercy on us that we are still alive today in this time (even after the things we do). About Qiyamah, Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) said that the distant between Him (back 1400 yrs ago) and Qiyamah is like the distant of two fingers (he then held his 2 fingers close together to demonstrate). In another narration, He (S.A.W) said that your Qiyamah would start after your death. Either way, it is evident from the above 2 ahadith that we have no escape except by believing in Allah, Prophet Muhammad, All previous prophets and his Angels and doing which He (Allah) commanded us to do.

There is a wisdom of Allah in not revealing the exact time of Qiyamah or the exact time (Month, Day, Hour) of our death. And Allah gives us the answer in Surah Mulk when He says:

Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things. Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving

If we were told the time of our death before we die, we (and I put myself before anyone else) would be engaging in all kind of sins and would just "repent" towards the end. Allah created us for a reason and that is to test us in this world so we can earn our fair share in the next.

Re: Surah Qiyamah

It says:

The Last Book
The Last Prophet
The Last Religion

The Prophet as the founder of Islam

There was no point to read that guy further. And about the kid who was experimenting with MS Frontpage, I wonder why he chose a bloody red background?

Please take my comment: It's a rubbish website!

Re: Surah Qiyamah

divine light and hum hein lajawab, thanks for contributing your posts to the query of this thread.

Phasma, thanks for your post. it is true that the color of the website is deep red.
and what you have quoted here appears to stand out as questionable.

yet the translation of surah and ayaat (even when carried out randomly) dont seem to be suspicious.

the contact to webmaster was tried to be made, there is no info like such to be found. your concern is valid & i appreciate that you brought it forward.
thanks for your post.

Re: Surah Qiyamah

My understanding is a little different regarding the chapter, and the handle: yaum il-qiyaamah.

It is interesting that you transliterated the word as Q*IYAAMAH and **not* Q*A*YAAMAH. You are correct in your transliteration, and you should also know that these two words may not mean the same thing.

We are different, I think, from other species of the animal kingdom because of our sense of purpose, and our free will... so our purpose, and our goal is to wield that free will the way we choose. Let us move to the meaning of the meaning of YAUM il-QIYAAMAH. In classical Arabic, this word means "The Day of PURGING", and thereby, the day of ressurection. In surah Qaaf, we have a similar word, YAUM al-KHUROOJ.

My understanding is that it means the day humanity realizes something very important, as one community; something that would change their life and entire existance... As per at-TAKWEER, az-ZILZAAL and similar chapters: When the sun and moon (symbolism for the flag of Byzantium & Persia, the two monarchies/kingdoms of the time) are wrapped aside and loose their ground, when mountains are moved (when people shun their dogmas), when papers are published widely (education and knowledge is common), and when the earth will reveal its secrets by the grace of her Lord (archaeology, paleantology and minerology etc. will advance), when the sky is torn assunder (space travel and sciences advance), when the girl buried alive is questioned (women's rights are restored) and when seas overflow with ships... that day is the day of purging, when the human SELF will realize what it has accomplished. That day is when we meet our maker, as one nation, as an ascended race that shunned all that is false and embraced the truth.

It is the same destiny, however, who will be there and how long it will take, we do not know. One thing is for certain though: We do have the power to accomplish this.

And of course, judgement follows this day of purging, when everything will be questioned, when those who died and became dust will be brought back, just the way they were brought to life before...
