The power issue is no doubt ancient. I remember, even back in the days of Gen. Zia, we used to have scheduled loadshedding of 1 to 2 hours a day. So power shortage is not the issue. Lack of new power generation is one. Non-payment of bills and theft of electricity is another. And these issues push the power sector back bit by bit. But such huge corruption sets the organization back by 100 years.

True PPP followers all seem to agree on the fact that Zardari does not represent true PPP. If that is the case, then why can they not launch a campaign to oust him from the party leadership? Or do they admit that PPP in fact is a family business, and the party leader in fact, has to be related to Bhutto in one way or another?.

1-2 hours loadshedding previously we used to have in peak summers and that too for a couple of weeks, nothing of this sort. Problem started when the higher ups started promoting IPPs in search of kickbacks, as if they had promoted coal, hydel, solar and other technologies we would have been much better off.
