Re: Supreme Court Rejects plea for stay against Musharraf re-election
First the Chief Justice stated the 17th amendment could not be reversed, and now judges on the 9-member panel hearing petitions against the President are saying exactly the same thing.
Justice Nawaz Abbasi, saying it should not be rehashed, said the 17th Amendment issue had already been settled in court and had been substantiated with two-thirds majority vote in the parliament

Bhaijan, ye aap kia baat kar rahay hain. This is akin to saying CJ and SC judges are pro-dictatorship. Ye kabhi nahi hosakta, nahi ho sakta, nahi ho sakta
Re: Supreme Court Rejects plea for stay against Musharraf re-election
The concept is perfect, I want this too. But how do we start? Just by kicking Musharraf, brining in one of the older faces just because they may be elected in out of present hatred for Musharraf at the moment, and sit and wait to see institutions get strong on their own, and the newly discovered judiciary and media hold everything and everyone accountable and make things go smooth for the rest of time...
bhai jaan, let Musharraf take 2 steps in that direction, nation will run 10 steps in that direction, it requires sincerity and honesty which Busharraf is lacking. I wouldn't mind if Busharraf stays but he needs to do the work which is required of him in the long run. He has backed out of steps which could've won him all the missing support.
Re: Supreme Court Rejects plea for stay against Musharraf re-election
Look CJ has already stated that stopping the Presidintial Election would mean** “chaos in the country”,** so he understands the wider implications for Pakistan.
Re: Supreme Court Rejects plea for stay against Musharraf re-election
It now seems that CJ himself was giving instructions to the 9-member panel he setup to hear the petitions, to not derail the system and rule against Musharraf. Told you so. :)
