Support System

Hello Everyone, Assalam Alaikum! First thread in L&R

Generally speaking, once a girl gets married and relocates to another city, country, or continent, she, more than often, does not know a lot of people in the new area. A good support system (SS), be that family or friends, is very important to release stress, goof around with, or simply rely on. This, I presume, would be lacking in the new scenario. Now ideally, we would like our husbands to fill in that gap, but, I feel for a healthier relationship, one should spend some good amount of time with different sets of people, i.e. good people. This may or may not apply to men, I don’t know. If it does, please reply.

Questions: A lot of people over here must have relocated after getting married.

  • Was creating a reliable SS an issue? If yes, how so?
  • Does GS serve as SS for a lot of people here? Is it a good substitute?

Thank you for your replies in advance.

If GS served as that then those people would not have many friends outside then :p

Re: Support System

Re: Support System

:smilestar: life1 type replies ke liye soochna parta hai shak :emmy:

but GS as SS has its advantages and disadvantages :hmmm:

Re: Support System

Yes

Whenever I need to make fun of someone I come on GS and stroke my ego :p

Re: Support System

:smilestar: u r a meaniiieeeeeeeeeeee bachpan se :hoonh:

but for some ppl GS can be a place where they can share with others wht they cant with ppl around them…specially in blogs…
they can ask for advice staying anonymous…

I have recently relocated to a new country for employment purposes and since I do not have any circle of friends here, GS is turning out to be a wonderful SS for me. You get to know of problems and issues of pakistanis from all around the globe. However, one should never consider this as a substitute for an actual SS and should strive to make actual friends in the community.
