Just heard news on GEO that Pakistani supper star Yousaf Youhana has accepted Islam.

What a wonderfull news. Allah Hu’Akbar.

Wonderful news for whom? For Mullahs or for Yoyo? There is no doubt Yoyo did the deep thinking and found God.

However the rest of us poor lot in Pakistan still have to find God.

The last comment by Sydpk-shows the fanatical pressure non-muslims live in, to convert to Islam.

do you know anything about pakistan.pakistan is 97% muslim and only 3 percent are non muslim who are mainly hindu and christian.Minorities with the joint electorate system also have a separate electorate which makes sure taht they are represented.So they are present from the local bodies level to national assembly and senate.some facts about minorities
Hindus who mainly live in the province of sindh have the rice factories all over the province and have more money than the muslims living in these areas.

Christians who are divided into two groups. Goan christians who settled before the partition in karachi and still speak english and konkani are normally employed in big organisations are are educationists they are active in the catholic board also.second group consist of the poor christians who are mainly from the punjab they were low caste hindus who converted to christianity when the missionaries arrived in this area.They are as poor as a local punjabi living in the area

Parsis mainly live in karachi and belong to the business community.Few thousand in number but are involved in big business like shipping,five star hotels etc.

No one pressurises anyone to convert to Islam.why dont you people believe what youhana himself said and what reasons he gave of embracing Islam.God has guided him towards the right path and he will inshallah follow it.

I dont support this, he is representative of Pakistans minority groups.. People will say he was forced to do this either directly or indirectly..

Who gives a damn what the secular idiots think, this is the mans choice no one put gun to his head, and this is a very good thing that this man has converted to isalm in fact it will encourage more people to embrace islam mashallah!

Great news mashallah God has guided him to the only true religion.How can anyone force him he was playing for almost 8 9 years .why should anyone force him now and why he was not forced before.And if the minorities are so opprresed then why did the selectors pick him in the team.

His full name is danish prabhushankar kaneria.Anil dalpat who played few matches for pakistan back in the early 80s is danish's relative i think so cousin.

Yousaf Youhana and other minority cricketers such as Danish Kaneria are spokes persons for Pakistan. People who claim that Pakistan has no tolerance for religous minorities will hard pressed to ignore the fact that Pakistan has two excellent cricketers from the minority groups who are respected members of the team and wear the country colors proudly.
With Youhana converting, it only gives people fuel to hurl.. They will say that the one example of a minority Pakistani reaching new heights is overshadowed by the fact that even he had to convert to Islam...
I personally dont think Youhana did this because he wanted to but because he was obliged to... Discrimination comes in many forms. He may have simply gotten tired of having to put up with it..
