Remember my “So much in love with Punjabi lingo” khalaa and her Danny DeVito
style hubby?
They are due to arrive from NJ this weekend.
While talking to her on the phone, I could not resist a blaster of a laugh when she
said,
" Assi aan lagay’ awn , "
I said " What the,!! you mean ‘band-bajay naal’
She said " Don’t call my hubby ‘Band-baja’ "
I said " Errr, yeh, but no,I mean no !!,I didn’t call him Danny DeVito " [She knows I call him that, and he loves it with a blush]
She said “You better have NO BODY in the house OK!!” , “Saday naal ek guest ve hai naal” , “your place should be spic n span, and no debri OK?”
I said “That sounds like a threat to me” " what are you up to "?
She said, laughingly,“Teray ka’aar de mundair tay ek kaan bolun wala ee "
I said " Lekin!! I thought I killed that freak’in Superstition " " what are you ON about this time ? : konfused: and cursing,Fittay munh goday’yan da "
She said , “Hawwww hai, munday’aa , raam naal waaay”
" enj nai boli daa,” “Manhoos honda aye,”
lol
So that arose my curiosity to find out more about various “Superstitions” of
EAST & WEST , not that I’l use them as a deterent defensive ploy,No Sir E,NO!
