Superstition

Re: Superstition

yes its okay not to kill a spider and just as you do .. scoop it up and distance it from yourself .. so if it even is harmful it wont get close to you ..

yes this is the way to stay away from and if Allah na karey they are hatmful ... because you ve thrown em away from you , like you said .. if provoked they will attack otherwise .. your safe.

i dunt thinkits a major sin, or minor .. i would believe something along the lines of ''Disliked'' .. if you can avoid killing em then do so and if its absolute necessary then .... what r ya waiting for.. christmas..lolz
..

your the first ever person .. that i ve now know who has pigeon phobia .. nice to meet ya .. :D .. i dunt know how would i answer this .. cos i ve never known anyone like so.

Re: Superstition

I don't know any hadith about kill or not to kill a spider but there are some ahadith which say that we should not kill animals (birds and insects etc) without a reason and also should not torture them.

Re: Superstition

it will be hard for you to zabiha the spider. :-p

Re: Superstition

I think we've all heard of the cave story and the spider web bit but I've never heard that Muslims shouldn't kill spiders.

Re: Superstition

Adra it wouldn;t fall under superstition in any case. If you believed that killing a spider will bring you 7 yrs of badluck or spiders bring good luck that would be superstition.

Re: Superstition

Killing or not killing the spider is your decision , there is no gunnah for killing it and no sawab for not killing it.

Re: Superstition

I dont believe in that, Ive broken 7 mirrors in the past 7 years and life keeps on getting better and better.

My childhood beliefs were a bit shaken when someone suggested its superstition to believe in such things.

But I guess there is no harm being done if you arent hurting a spider and everytime you see one it reminds you of The Prophet

Re: Superstition

only because , you can't eat spider but you can eat pigeon :)
