Sadly! you can even lose people who are close to you if you disagree or fail to respect their superstitious beliefs.

sometimes i wonder if this belief is being influence by another faith? Ofcourse Not islam but other religions perhaps.

You can even break a bond of friendship no matter how strong you may think it is.

Is it just me who feels to some individual these supertitious stuff means a lot.
Such as

  • you can not celebrate your birthday before the actual date *rolleyes

It seems more than impossible for me to see the logic behind it and agree with others. I use to laugh at this but I learned my lesson big time.

U won't believe how many old wives tales I would
have for u that I have heard from different ppl over the years.
May I share a few.

1- put a knife under a newborn's pillow so he/she won't be scared. (from whom I do not know).

2- Do not get out of the house after having a baby or u could get possessed.

3- Do not stay by urself even in ur own house when u have just had a baby or u will have "saya".

Sorry u prolly weren't looking to hear any of these but I just couldn't resist. And these are the ones I heard recently so they stuck.

nia i wondered a while..and i think whatever thing started..it must have worked for someone in the past centuries..that's how they must have started..i guess for some superstitions there was a logic back then..It hurts sometimes when people believe something different as compared to you..but sometimes we also adapt some teachings..which we later find that aren't true..so i try to refrain from commenting sometimes.

I am not sure if its related to what you asked..or if i am just blabbing :(
