Eh. It was okay. Nothing great. They played it real safe, which is why it's neither outstanding nor horrible. I kept getting the feeling that nothing was happening. Not enough Kevin Spacey. You have the main villain and the main hero, and they are together in only 1 scene! In the entire movie! Maybe 1 minute long. It just doesn't come close to Batman Begins, either Spiderman, and either X-Men (3 doesn't count, that wasn't a real movie).

It was too slow for me for a Superman action movie. I wish they had cut down on the whole “gazing at Lois Lane” and “flying around for no reason” bit. It got old pretty soon!!
Best thing about it - the guy playing Superman and Lex Luthor!!
The uncanny resemblance to Chris Reeve was 
and Kevin Spacey was delightfully evil!!
Batman Begins was much much better!! Let’s hope they take some risks next time and not play out the whole romance deal uggh

sigh, I wish! I watched it again today in hope of loving it the second time around, but alas, this time I dozed of ( swear!) and actually left the hall 20 minutes before the slumberfest ended.
I only ended up hating it more.

I loved it! Superman is HOT!
I do think that they could've done more with the Lex Luthor story and if they werent gonna do too much with it then he shouldn've been in it in the first place. They should've just made it all about Superman and Lois Lane's emotional drama.
Special effects were awesome!! I enjoyed it.

Ok ..finally saw it, I enjoyed the movie. i won't call it unforgettable, but it's based on the same style and story of Superman 1. That means no confusing plot lines, and a slow almost epic style movie. It does drag, but all in all I'd say it's a good familyesque movie..while not a bad movie its not an all time great.

Finally watched it. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Brandon Routh was brilliant as Superman. I'd go as far as saying that he was better than Reeves in Superman 3 and 4 for sure. However having said that, I think he failed to capture the comedy of Clark Kent or maybe it was just the script. Speaking of which, the film was kinda let down by it. Visually, it was a great movie, no question about it. I can see where the 23423 million dollars went. It's just that the characters were so dimensionless and the film had such a gloomy tone to it...it's as if someone took the Superman movies and sucked all the color out of it, including Superman's suit.

i watched it at the iMax with 4 sessions of 3D of five minutes each. watching it on the huge screen and with magnificent sound and with 3D made it a wonderful experience...
