I got superglue on my dinning table (wood) any ideas how I can remove it. Its not a blab but rather smeared on the table :-/
Re: Superglue
hmmm, may just have to remove the table.
the problem is that the solvents that can remove super glue, will also mess up the surface big time.
which may mean u would have to then do a light sanding and refinish..stain and seal the wood.
I will ask the carpenter dude I know if he has any tricks

Yeap thats what i'm afraid of. Thank you tho.
Re: Superglue
can u tell me name of glue, or type of glue? epoxy?
Re: Superglue
There's this stuff called "goo gone" it's this spray and you spray it on the sticky surface and then after about 20 minutes you come back and it comes off!
Except yea it might mess up the wood. =\
Re: Superglue
belle...just rub some gobi on the glue... :D

Mr. Fraudia, sorry for the late reply, its called Duro Quick Gel.
Phati, i've heard of goo gone but that will mess up the wood. thank you for the idea tho.
Zabardast, then make allo gobi out of it?
Re: Superglue
belle
I m afraid I dont have good news for u. any adhesive remover that can do the job will mess up table finish
the handyman said that u may want to get a very fine sandpaper and carefully sand the adhesive off..even if u do damage the table surface in the process, his view is that it would be much less the applying heavy duty adhesve removers.
Re: Superglue
Oh phooey :-/
Thank you for asking tho. I think i'll try the sandpaper on some old wood before I try it on the table, i tend to ruin things...clearly.
Re: Superglue
belle what were you doing with that glue on the bare table...lol
