What are some of the tried and tested “superfoods” that you’d recommend? That is, “a food considered especially nutritious or otherwise beneficial to health and well-being.”
I want to munch on goji berries all day long after watching this video but it would help to do some research first and that includes asking the trusted GSers for their recommendations.
Love kale!! Anyway especially kale chips. Is it wrong to eat goji berries covered in dark chocolate.. Thats my weakness lately. I like flax seed by teaspoonfuls.. Its nutty and delicious. I use barley to make haleem with boneless chicken... Superhealthy and delicious. I use greek yogurt mainly in smoothies or with local raw honey. Avocados can be used on salad or on make guacamole with it. Sweet potatoes are my new love and they are delish baked. I love all leafy greens equally and either i will add them to quinoa, throw them in soups or saute them with garlic and throw in feta or parmesan for a quick meal, i buy frozen edemame and will boil them instead of microwaving them and eat as is or sometimes rub olive oil on them and bake them till crispy and then sprinkle lemon juice and chaat masala. Use seeds such as sunflower and pumpkin on salads as well toppers such as olives or dried berries or even boiled beets. Im trying to eat cleanER!!! Looking fwd to more ideas
You’re trying?! You’re rocking it, girl!! I’d feel proud of myself even if I ate one salad everyday. Trying to change my gandi eating habits from March onwards.
Greek yoghurt is awesome. Double or triple the amount of protein than normal yoghurt and no fat. I’ve heard some youtubers recommend the Chobani greek yoghurt but they don’t sell them here. I’ll have to look for another brand.

Btw, moodie foodie, goji berries taste delicious on their own, without the chocolate I never liked raisins and I was afraid the goji berries would taste like raisins too but they don’t… well just very slightly… I like them.
Thanks huma.. Im gonna have to hubt down the goji berries because the local supermarket doesn't carry it. Chobani is yum but honestly i just get whatever is on sale. Try eating one salad but chop the veggies and make sure it looks colorful with bell pepper an craisins and carrots radishes cucumber beets.. The colorful the better. I honestly dont crave the usual junk or even just canned or boxed stuff. I do eat my veggie patties though becaus hello protein. Kale chips are super easy, get precut kale and remove the stems if any and drizzle a tbsp or two of good olive oil but then massage it into the leaf instead of it sitting on it. Sprinkle coarse salt or regular and pepper and i usually throw in a few cloves of garlic and mix it all up and bake it at 350•F for 15 minutes but keep an eye so the leaves dont burn. Take it out and cool it and enjoy!! Guilt free!!!
Ninja hatori- yep!! They really are awesome!!! I do the same bake and sprinkle thing with canned chickpeas. I should just start uballing them thou!!
My mom introduced me to Kale...love it....and Spinach...I put it in daal, in soups I make...what ever I can put it in...hubby hates it...but me no care....
Avacados...love them...I make milk shakes with them
Pomegranates...yum yum yum...never get sick of it...I just hate separating them...so I get hubby to do that for me :p
My mom...everyday in the morning she makes Vege/fruit juice and drinks one huge glass of it...and it has really helped her health a lot...the doctors were quite surprised.
She puts :
Broccoli
Carrots
strawberries
black berries - actually whatever berries she can get her hands on
Bananas
apple
Beetroot
Celery
hmm...I can't remember what else she puts in...
pretty much all vegetables. nothing like a super food, its nonsense. no one who has a degree in nutrition will use that word, just the fluffy media. i miss cdg.
Lilly, I bought some already. I don't think you have Dunnes Stores in the UK, do you? That's where I got them from and they had a whole bunch of other stuff there like flaxseed etc. The brand was Forest Feast (sun dried goji berries). I really liked the taste.

Na, we don't have Dunnes here, I buy such stuff from H&B. How long has it been since you started eating them? Did you notice any effect or is it too early to ask this?
