LAS VEGAS -- Oddsmakers like the Oakland Raiders in the Super Bowl just about as much as bettors do.
Before the Raiders were even finished beating Tennessee on Sunday, they were made a 3½-point favorite over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in two of the city's largest sports books.
The line quickly moved to 4 points in some books and 5 points in others as the early money was bet on the favored Raiders. Stardust sports book director Bob Scucci said he posted a 3½-point line with a little more than 2 minutes left in the Oakland-Tennessee game, and quickly found out the Raiders were going to get a lot of action.
"I think we are going to be really heavy on the Raiders,'' Scucci said.
-- The Associated Press
“ It's going to be a ticket worth buying. It's going to be a No. 1 offense against the No. 1 defense. Everybody wanted it. And now everybody is going to see it. ”
— Frank Middleton, Raiders guard
Yea...... they r pretty much equal in many senses.
Best offence VS Best defence
Raider will rule .............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goooooooooooooooooooooo Raidersssssssssssssssssss
Jon Gruden - The man undoubtedly responsible for polishing Rich Gannons skills and motivating the players that eventually brought them back to Superbowl.

Jerry Rice said he wouldn't have been sitting there, or even been in San Diego this week, were it not for Gruden.
"The main reason I went to the Raiders is because of Jon Gruden," Rice said. "I felt I needed someone with a lot of intensity and he pretty much challenged me every day."
"He did not say that he wanted me to be that third receiver," the 40-year-old Rice told the media. "He said, 'I want you to come in there and I want you to fight hard and really help this team.' The feedback that I was getting from the other teams was that they wanted me to come in and be that third receiver."

**Superbowl Dot Com **
Rich Gannon can forget abt running a TD which he did last time.
He'll have No chance in hell to cross Tampa bays fat ass defence line.
Oakland defence better shape up cuz Allstot is on fire.
For now everyone, just hope that this Super Bowl is gonna be more intresting than last one. hated how it ended in a field goal!
But so far, looking at the teams, i'm more than sure that this one is gonna be hell of a Super Bowl ! :)
Go Bucs !
Four teams gave up on Rich Gannon before Raiders signed him in 1999. Now he’s NFL MVP.
[thumb=A]gannon1.JPG[/thumb]
At 37, after 15 years in the league, Gannon is the NFL most valuable player. He has led the Oakland Raiders to the Super Bowl. He has mastered the West Coast offense in a way its architect, Bill Walsh, says is "outstanding, absolutely outstanding."
Walsh says Gannon has come into his own because, "finally, he got into a system that takes full advantage of his abilities, of his mobility, of his skill in making quick decisions, of his arm accuracy."
Why, Walsh is asked, did it take until 1999, when Gannon arrived in Oakland as a free agent, for him to be recognized for what he was -- a winner, a fighter, a fine athlete, a Pro Bowl quarterback who could take a team to the playoffs?
"That's the question, isn't it?" Walsh says. "Historically, in the NFL, they've looked for the quarterback with the bigger arm or the stronger arm or something. There are stereotypes on size, on speed. Sometimes as a coach, you have to adapt your talent and system to the player. You can't just fit square pegs into round holes. A lot of times you have quarterbacks with coaches who just didn't adapt their system."
Another important (if not THE) factor to determine success for either team wil be Jon Gruden.
He's familiar with the Raiders' offense like the back of his hand; heck he's the one who organized it while at Oaktown. Bucs will move according to how he's rearranged the X's and 0's based on what he already knows so well.
Vince Lombardi trophy.

** The Raider Nation is ready for Pirate Bowl **
The Raider Nation spreads far and wide across the globe and it now appears that the Nation has migrated en masse to San Diego. Raiders fans are out and about in full force. They have made it to Super Bowl central by whatever means possible, and are representing the Silver and Black deep in Chargers territory.
Finally Raiders have made it to the superbowl, last year they were robbed in the match against cheating Patriots.
My heart says Raiders but with Gruden on the otherside my head says Tampa.

cheating? excuse me..that was the right ruling on the field...officials did not make any mistakes...and raiders could have still stopped patriots or even in the overtime
Go Bucs!!

Tampa crushes Oakland 48-21.
