- Super Bowl XXXVIII -

you obviously have no knowledge of football...the same people can sit through five days of "tick tick" in a drawn test match.

All in all it was a pretty boring game, not among the better superbowls. Had it been a regular game, I would have just changed the channel.

Pats won, congrats to pat fans. But I doubt this will be considered among the classic superbowls.

Sheraz, I will believe that you are a true fan whenyou show the same emotion and devotion when Pats have a bad season. Only then you can proclaim to be a fan, untill then you are bandwagon fan. Really, there are other things in life than NFL. Oh, that is right I forgot, you always pray five times a day, I have to take your word for it

o yaaar each year they have the same poll and similar stats.
kher lets just say it had the most boring first 27 minutes of any superbowl game that I have seen.

With Eid and a constant stream of guests visiting, I only watched parts of 2nd qtr, the half-time show ;-) and the 4th qtr (from 29-29 on). After that I caught the high-lights and all. I thought, from an offensive standpoint, it was quite good. Didn't see the 1st 27 mins, so can't say, but the TD's I saw and the passing by both Panthers and Patriots was fantastic. Brady is very good. Didn't see the first two failed FG's by Vinatieri, so only saw his 41-yarder. It was picture perfect. Great game.

Panther’s attempt to do a two-point finish twice was :nook: And why can’t NFL have the third umpires (like we have ‘em in Cricket) so no wrong calls are made … like last night when a fumble by Panthers was dubbed as incomplete.

One of the most exciting superbowl game in years. Panthers and their QB Delhomme deserve all the credit for making this game a thriller to the last minute. He was scaked several times, couldnt find the receivers early on, rushing game was non-existent and the were in danger of being the first team with negative total yardage. Add to that numerous penalty flags that were throw their way by the referees.
Panthers were down 21 - 10 and seemed like the aprty was over for them. That was 4th quarter and Delhomme led the team to 3 touchdown drives including the spectacular 85-yard pass play from Delhomme to Muhammad, giving Carolina its first lead of the game, 22-21.
The last drive tied the score, 29-29 with under a minute left in the game. Delhomme hoped to go into overtime and work his magic all over again. But that was not to be since the Pats kicker had one more chance to redeem himself and he did.
I thought the Panthers defence got tired by the 3rd quarter. Their offence didnt last much on the field and ended up punting the ball way too much which meant the defence had to play a lot of minutes early on leading to their fatigue, which as obvious by the end of 4th quarter as Brady could move the ball at will by then.

Had Panthers won Delhomme (the undrafted quarterback from Breaux Bridge, La., who was once a backup quarterback in Amsterdam of NFL Europe) would have won the MVP. He finished with 16 for 33 for 323 yards and three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Thank you for an exciting finish to the football season.

Great Game!!

the game was exciting.. from start .. (well 10 minutes from the start) to the end.. including the halftime ;)

what more excitement do you need!!!

They’re making a big deal out of “half time show” thing.
Anyways, it was one of the most exciting superbowl in recent years.

“I’ll have you naked by the end of this song…” ahammm :smack:

I thought it was one of the most exciting Super Bowls ever. I'd say that even if I wasn't a life long Patriots fan. These are the two best disciplined, hardest working, most intense, best coached teams out there. They are unselfish, work as a team, don't play dirty or trash talk. Class acts on the field and off.

Defense wins championships and both defenses are awesome. Casual fans like to see high scoring games but watching the intensity of the Patriots defense when the're throwing a shutout is amazing. Throw in a few sub 2 minute, 80-yard touchdown drives, lead changes and last second field goal drama, and this game had everything for everybody. The two quarterbacks exemplify everything the game could ever want with their leadership, poise and never-say-die attitude.

Kids, football, sports and society in general need more role models like these two teams represent and less of what was on the half time show.
