As much as I want Panthers to beat the crap out of the patriots...its highly unlikely. Romeo (Patriots defensive cordinator) will play a cat and mouse game with Jake Delhome..if he can survive that Panthers have a chance.
For those of you who think that Patriots are flawless..think again. I did not watch the AFC championship, however, I was watching the NFL channel where they were showing the highlights with commentary from the experts. They all agreed that last two non calls on patriots for holding were blatant and "ir-responsible" on the part of the refs. Now, I am not saying that Patriots dont deserve to be here, they certainly do...juts letting the blind patriots fans to keep it in perspective.
Kaleem.. I don't follow football or these threads very regularly, but I do notice with interest that most of your arguments about Patriots (or Titans, previously) would focus on bad referees. Is umpiring really that lousy in football or the rules so unclear that people don't know what they are doing?

Well Faisal, over all referees do a good enough job. However, in the playoffs and big games their mistakes are highlighted, because so much is riding on the outcome of the game and you have to make sure that both teams get a fair shake. I will tell you that most of the NFL calls are subjective.e.g. Holding, pass interference...different refs call it differently. Having said that, when you have a defensive player hanging off a reciever before the ball gets their,it is holding. That was the case in the patriots and Colts game...when everything was on the line with colts down by 7 late 4th quarter. I dont know if they had called holding, the outcome will be different, but it does make you wonder...what if? That is all.
P.S. Titans will be ok...next year. I can see them locking horns with Pats again in the playoffs next year. Just hoping that game will be in Tennesse.

How do you figure that Sheraz? Is the cold getting to you again? :D. titans have made the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years. Been to the SB, AFC championship. Look at their record....my friend they are a good team. OH BTW, how soon do you forget the spanking Pats took at the collisium 24-7. Do you remember that? I am sure if you guys go to Tennesse they will spank your butts again. Pats did not dominate Titans either in the playoffs or the regular season. Both games were close, however, when Pats visited Tennesse they left with their weird looking hats stuck between their legs.:)

yup, they got refs calls in games against Texans, yup they got refs bad calls against Titans in the playoff game, yup they got the "non calls" from refs whentheir linebacker was hanging on to the reciever like he was his wife and no flag, yup they are real good. Yup, they beat the titans only becasue ref called a holding penalty on a pass that was compleetd and gave the titans a first down, btw penalty was not there. All replays showed that. Yup, they hold, interfere with passes and get away with it. Yup, you gussed it, its New England Patriots. The darlings of refs and the media. Howver, just remeber, your assess were beaten like drums with essentialy the same team in Tenesse...and if you go down there again you will get the same treatment. yup...lol lol...
sounds more like sore losers to me.. u can't blame everything on the refs.. u have to factor in the bad calls and then get on with the game..

PA, when one team consistently gets all the calls you have to wonder...maybe that is what they mean by destiny. Iguess its patriots destiny to win ugly and help from the refs.
Seminole, Denver broncos started the season 13-0 about 4 to 5 years ago, so please keep the refrences of 30 years in the snow covered MA. yeah, i know pats have won 14 straight now, but you said like of it..so it has been done.
Can you say that non calls against colts were good calls....Did the linebacker hold or no? Was there a holding penalty against the titans? go look at those plays again and tell me that you did not get benefit of the refs calls. Pats are just as good as any other team out there, specially colst and Titans...they are not significantly better. They get one or two bad calls go there way and they are in the SB again...whoop de do.
