This is great news, but could somone please elaborate on the specifics of this Super-7, and how it relates to Pakistans current fleet of f-16's?
Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pakistan Zindabad ![]()
Go to Pakdef.info, Sinodefence.com or PakistaniDefence.com for info on it...
It's 80% as good as F-16...
But it's better than the F-16's that Pakistan has right now.

Pakistan needs about 150 of these planes for its Air Force... How will this acquisition in Fighters compare to the India Air force capability? One analyst said it may ti the scale in our direction, but by how much?

India boasts that it has over 700 aircrafts. However, IAF has about 300 aircrafts that are operational at any given time. The rest are either under repair or not air worthy.
Out of the 300 operational IAF aircrafts, one can quite safely assume that one third of these will be crashed by the IAF pilots :)
No wonder the Muslim Burning Hindus are reluctant to start the 'Decisive Battle'. :)

Mashallah over 500, and they are all in working order :)
No wonder the Muslim Burning Hindus have been reluctant to start that 'Decisive Battle' promised by Vajpayee. They cannot handle the professionalism of Pakistan's armed forces. The Indians are spending $14billion on defence and still do not have the guts to start the war against a small nation like Pakistan. The Indians are only good at burning unarmed Muslims, and sending them to refugee camps.
So that makes 650 working order planes.:k:
Another question, India has an Air craft carrier, why hasn’t Pakistan purchased one yet? Is it worth having?

Pakistan's only enemy is India, as India is the only country that has threatened war against Pakistan. India shares its borders with Pakistan. Pakistan has the ability to launch missiles and accurately hit any target within India from its land bases. With this in mind Pakistan does not need an aircraft carrier.
Also, an aircraft carrier requires a supporting fleet of naval ships that in-itself costs a lot of money. Pakistan has got it's priorities right with regards to its navy, and is investing in submarines and fleet of naval ships for defensive posture and eliminating enemies advancing ships, rather than for launching strikes from the sea. With this in mind, and the size of Pakistan's coastline, and the ability to launch strikes from its land mass, Pakistan at this stage does not need an aircraft carrier and it supporting naval fleet.
Adnan ji, to run a single air craft carrier is very astronomical. I saw a program on History International sometime last year, according to which to maintain a full fledged air craft carrier, it costs $50,000 per hour, meaning about $438000000 per year.
