Here’s somewhat of a winter sunset over Goergia Straight- as seen from outside the place where I live in North Vancouver. We don’t get a lot of like these in winter due to persistent rainfall, and low cloudiness, but for the past few days the weather has been clear and crisp..came out okay i guess..The mountains you see are on Vancouver Island across from Georgia Straight.

the panoramic view looks great..is it panoramic for real? or is it just some editing?

well..yes and no :) there are no color corrections done to the picture- this is just how it came out. However, I cropped the height to make it look panoramic, hence focusing more on the horizon.

It's good to know another gupster from Vancouver; I thought i was the only one until now. The part of Pacific ocean which runs between Vancouver Island and the coast of BC is known as the straight of Georgia. So, the ocean you see from any part of Greater Vancouver is the straight, and it also stretches inland on the way to Whistler, that part is called Howe Sound' but it's all the same pacific ocean.
