Sunscreen!

Re: Sunscreen!

Reapplying is for extremely hot sunny days and if you’re working outdoor and a constant exposure to sun.

The hydrating moisturizer which I apply is not like a normal moisturizer it’s more like a toner in appearance and consistency.

Re: Sunscreen!

The reapplication thing is a must. In ones daily life one doesn't stand in the sun for more than 10 minutes at a time so I didn't realize a one time application wasn't enough and tanning hurt no one so I wasn't that meticulous. Once I went hiking in the sun and boom four hours later I was a permanent shade of red and I couldn't move my face without hurting myself. I was so pissed off at the sun block but later realized I had only put it on only once before heading out.

Sun screen for oily skin?

Re: Sunscreen!

No they don’t but if you actually understand how sunscreen’s work, then the below quote makes sense. I use a physical sunscreen. The first thing that I put on my face is Vit. C serum. Then 10-15 minutes later I apply sunscreen. With physical sunscreen’s, there is no need for them to absorb onto the skin. I want/need the serum to abroab onto my skin for maximum result. If I wore a moisturizer, I would also apply that UNDER the sunscreen. If I’m wearing make-up, all that goes after sunscreen.

“Yet other sources suggest that it depends whether the sunscreen is a chemical formulation, which reduces ultraviolet radiation penetration, or a physical blocker, which uses titanium dioxide or zinc oxide to deflect harmful rays. They generally recommend applying chemical sunscreens first to maximize absorption; physical sunblocks, meanwhile, can go under or over moisturizer.”
