everything you read about skin care says that one must wear sunscreen whenever you are out but everytime i am on the beach and i have sunscreen on, i still get very dark and it takes a long time for me to get rid of the suntan. Do any of you have similar problem? A lot of my desi friends have experienced the same thing. wonder if there are suncreens that are desiged for brown skin?
Re: sunscreen
perhaps it depends on how much you put on? i could be wrong though..
A good sunscreen works on all complexions, just make sure you have and use one that's right for you. The SPF, what your skin-type is..and most importantly don't forget to re-apply it after every 2 hours.
Here are a few I have tried and LOVE:
Phytomer
Sunsense
Bioderma
Biotherm sunfitness gel-cream
i am going to try bioderma. have heard good things about it. thanks gina.
Re: sunscreen
my problem is re-applying.....I don't.
wish I could remember...
Re: sunscreen
Sunscreen doesn't block the UV rays that are responsible for tanning you. It just blocks the rays that can potentially lead to cancer. Sunblocks on the other hand are physical blockers that block out both UVA and UVB rays; one that tans you, and the other one that gives you cancer. Sunblocks give you a whitish appearance due to ingredients such as titanium oxide or zinc oxide
