I think a sunblock is better than the sunscreen because it doesn't let you tan or have those uneven skin discolorations.

really? I didnt know that. What's the difference between sunblock and sunscreen. I thought they were both the same....can someone please explain.

But how do u kno which ones better. Is it really true that sunblocks dont let you tan. I thought sunscreen didnt let you tan either!! confused

But I have to share with you girls what I found.
Okay so my research shows that Sunblock is better because it lies on top of the skin rather than getting absorbed by it.

^ I would LOVE to wear sunblock but what on earth is that white film all about? I know its necessary but are there sunscreens with high SPFs that are clear?
lol I have no idea what that is. I'm gonna start looking for one that's invisible and the "white film" (whatever that is) can't be seen.
guys i used Nivea sun lotion SPF 20(medium)... i cudnt find any gud branded sunblock in the hypermarket i went to so i settled with this. it smells nice and moisturises my skin (so i dun use any moisturiser in morning, just face wash toner and this) but i feel a lil too greasy and my face shines..... how can i tone that down... i cant throw this away cus it was a bit expensive. my face is greasy for atleast 4 hours or more.

Out of this world, amazing! Does not leave any white residue behind. Is not stick, greasy or gooey at all. Goes on like a moisturizer, blends in well, and it not oily or anything like that. The best part is that it gives ultimate protection, SPF 55 , UV-A and UV-B!
I used this all of last summer while I was in pakistan. I was getting married and going out almost everyday shopping and did not get the slightest tan and skin was healthy and glowing on the big day.

no, its not thick, its thin but u can easily spread it out. i think its about $40 but u can try it out before u buy it.

The one i posted is for face spefically, but they have a whole line and u can find the ones for the whole body. when i went to pak i had 2 differnt ones, one for face and the other for the body. the one for the body is a a little thick/oily but i didnt mind that, i just hate the greasy stuff on my face! and its a good sunscreen, after rubbing the body sunscreen, u cant feel the oily-ness either.

my aunt sent me Neutrogena's sunblock gel SPF 30,i havent used it yet as im afraid it will clog my pores...has any1 tried this?is it safe to use
There are 2 different kinds of sunscreens - physical and chemical. Physical sunscreens contain active ingredients like titanium dioxde, which work by forming a physical layer on top of the skin that reflects UV radiation. The problem with these products is that they often leave a whitish film on your skin. Chemical sunscreens are absorbed into the skin, and prevent absorption of UV radiation. They usually have a more cosmetically pleasing result.
I’ve started recommending that my patients use a sunscreen containing helioplex…its a chemical sunscreen, its long lasting, and it provides broad spectrum UVA/B protection. Best of all, its made by neutrogena, so its not very expensive at all.
I used to use that. Its another physical sunscreen, and it definitely used to leave a greyish film on my skin.
However, sunscreen is only effective if its applied liberally and frequently…and unless you’re willing to do that even with a $50 tube of designer product, its probably a good idea to buy something cheaper.

^ Thank you! I appreciate that...its very deceiving when you buy a product that claims to have sunscreen in it but its not enough to actually offer any real protection. I started using SPF 40 for that reason.
