Allah SWT said: **“**And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.” [Surat Al Imran 3:103]

I think we should use this thread to discuss the commonalities and ways we can bring the two communities togather instead of discussing differences instead of bashing khomeni or the sheikh from saudia.

good point.
We in Pak have only one thing common between different religions and sects. And that is:
=========== our motherland
Everything else is and can be different and it is is perfectly OK, as long as we know that our love for our motherland encompasses and supersedes every other loyalty and allegiance.
----- Shias and Sunnis can and do pray in different mosques
---- can and do have different sets of practices
--- can and do have aversion to mixing with other religions
---- can and do have separate Shariah code
But as long as we hold our motherland at our highest level, every other difference can be ignored.
peace! (is it possible in the current Pak environment??????????????)
Unfortunately for many Jihadis of both Shia and Sunni background, do not even believe in the sanctity of our motherland, and hence the firqa bazi and all this heinous killing in the mosques and tombs and graveyards and busses etc. etc.
True Jihadies would never want to shed blood in the first place.
salam bro thats not true there is a lot of evidence that "jehad starts at home" or the true muslims or puritians if you may ( as the jeehadis see themselves) have first a responsibility to rid their own countries of corrupt practices and rulers before they go abroad.This by itself is the essence of "amr bil maroof nahi anil munkar" There is NOTHING WRONG with this belief.
However where things go wrong is when this basic belief of peaceful protest ( which should only turn violent when suppressed by tyrants and dictators) rapidly mutates into a free for all killing orgy.This is what the led the khawarij astray.
I do condemn that, but I also condemn the queitist behavior preached by the religious classes which endorses the actions of tyrants and prevents opposition against them.
