Agreed in times of hardhsip Sunni's and Shias used to pull together so now the enemy is trying to keep that from happening.
Consider it a double door defense system for it to work both doors must be shut to outsiders.

I say Unite on the level of Humanity and as Humans ..but when it comes to aqeedah I will personally always as a sunni wont be able to accept the aqeedah of Shia esp when the shia do not accept the status of sahaba ..I mean if shia cant unite on the fact that sahaba were the most closest to the Holy Prophet SAW and they may be the most pious and respected ppl before us and instead degrade their status.. then this typa unity .. I dunt care ..I d never stand for this sorta faith... I d rather stick to respecting those who accepted islam before us and 100 % chance they are more pious and respected than us and certainly they gained more rewards than us...amongst other issues ..
its my opinion and more my faith on this statement
and the qur’an says ‘‘radi yaAllah hu an hum wara du anhu’’ in respect of the companions .. so dont the shia follw the same quraan ..instead degrade status of those respectful ppl ..you cant just pick n choose and say that Allah made a mistake by giving order to Gibraeel AS and sent Gibraeel AS to Muhammad SAW instead Gibraeel AS was supposed to go to Ali RA ..and it raises an objection on Allah that if Gibraeel keeping in mind angels are free from comiting sin was supposed to go to Ali RA .. why didnt Allah stop Gibraeel and tell / order that your going to teh wrong person and go to Ali RA ..

At least in pakistan, sunni and shia have infact the ability to coexist. they have demonstrated this well until the arrival of the insidious saudi funded wahabism in pakistan. however, even the most militant and extremist in the outlook represent a minority.
furthermore, apart from the cursing, isnt it hypocritical to scorn the shias for their critical approach towards sahabas while quite conveniently condoning and remaing indifferent to mistreatment of the Ahle Bayt? Mauvia for example. If shias are looked down upon for disrespecting sahabas then logically shouldnt the same principle be applied to those who held a grudge against the Ahle Bayt?

i didnt say he is a wahabi rather manifestion of that creed where concocted stories are propounded to widen the gap between shias and sunnies. contrary to what he believes i strongly believe in the unity of shias and sunnies. Islam even teaches tolerance towards infidels then what stops the muslims to unite?

In times like the ones we live in now... i have no problem working with Shias against a common enemy.
I am proud of my efforts in Operation True Promise back in 06.
A victory for one is a victory for all...
Shia's for all thier good and bad points are not ugly...
I have found it far more preferable to live with them in peace... sure we have different Aqeeda but one common ground we are brothers and share the same heritage and common enemy.
I have no problem admitting that i need Shia's support just as much as they need mine.

Without the millitant aspect my religion would never have got anywhere, even in that field we were respectfull and history proves it in most cases the days we stopped being so everything went downhill…

Yes there should be Unity in co-operation and tolerence for mutual benefits - Unity is a bit far-fetched as the differences are fundamental and quite divergent.
Only personality like Imam Mahdi (ra) can achieve this miracle of uniting Shias and Sunnis into one Ummah.
Now I think it's 'West's' agenda to embloden the 'Sufis' - read it - it's all in the papers!!!!!!

Wahabism has its roots in Saudia way before Khomeni and their agenda is well known. Saudi penetration in pakistan and afghanistan was largely motivated to set up their own wahabist clients that would remain steadfast to the calls of their puritanical saudi masters (part of their global little jihad). Of course Khomenis's rise of shiite theology were anathema to the wabahi sect and the same approach continues today. Wahabism has been militant right since its inception and their quixotic jihad to correct the entire muslim ummah is responsible for what we see today in Pakistan.
