Hope there are no riots in Karachi to avenge the killing of Sunni cleric.

Sunni Muslim cleric killed, two wounded in Karachi - Unknown armed men shot dead a Sunni Muslim cleric and wounded his son and a colleague in Pakistan’s southern city of Karachi late Thursday, police said. Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

Sunnis are not the payroll of RAW, CIA, Iran, Mossad....they don't indulge in anti-state anarchic activities....

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

This is probably one of the JI MQM rivalry killings. Doesnt look sectarian..

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

So when sunnis are killed its not sectarian.....

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

Why would these religious maniacs need riots when they can easily bring down important individuals and group of innocent men, women and children one by one and intermittently?

It was a time some 1400 years back when Islam was in the beginning stages and kafirs were killing Muslims to stop them to follow Muhammad (sas) and today, when Muslims are over one billion, have 56 Muslim countries and spread in over 220 countries around the world…these religious fanatics are doing the same job what kafir did some 1400 years back. Don’t they understand, killing a Muslim brother is like killing of the entire brotherhood in the eyes of God. Can some one put in their empty head that human race cannot be exterminated by such acts.

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

So you mean, in all those years whatever Shias and Sunnis have been killed in the name of religious name is the job of MQM and JI? I did not know that we have some intelligent members like you at this forum! Why don’t you join American CIA or FBI. They need smart ass like you!

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

truly sad...
due to the prevailing situation in karachi at the moment where local body elections are just round the corner and the major players no dobt are the JI and MQM, both of which dont exactly have angelic pasts, it does seem like it's all coming out political rivalry and hunger for power in the city. extremely pathetic! The JI has been incharge of the city since 2001 when the local elections brought the city Nazim (mayor) NaimatUllah Khan on the chair and there's no doubt he has delivered excelently and has brought massive developments and positive changes in the city. The peace situation and police work has also been roughly improved keeping in view the city's past...now MQM has the province with its man on the governor's seat, i dont think breaking the JI streak with their remarkable development work under way would be a good option, infcat it sounds rabid at this moment even morte so when one comes to hear the extremes the rival party/ies are willing to go to oust the other...killers can never strive for the common man...

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

Lets not jump to conclusions. Deceased Mufti's did belong to the Binori Town Mosque (Shamazai's followers) which has a history of Taliban connection and anti shia expressions.

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

Guilt by association, good job you are learning sound no different then Ashcroft, indicting innocent immigrants on visa violations, while claiming that they went to masjids, so they have had to be planning on terrorist attacks…

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

So his murder is justified because he had anti-Shia sentiments? excuses excuses!

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

Mr. Haris Zuberi,

To whom are you trying to fool?
This is 21st century and human brain works like a computer. The people living in Bhai Pheru and Jattanwala could easily understand what is happening in New York, London, Kabul and Paris, so they know for sure who is killing Shia Sunni one by one!.

I thought being Moderator, you would be a smart guy but you blew every image I had about you. Either you are totally dumb and ignorant from Pakistani affairs or just trying to fool yourself.

Your comment means that whatever people have been killed in last 10-15 years in mosques, imambargahs, cemetries, schools, on the streets, houses and mohallahs in the names of Shia Sunni are the juggleraries of MQM and JI?

Since MQM’s existence, MQM has been alleged for many murderous acts but no one ever pointed finger on MQM for suicidal attacks by it’s workers or involved MQM in bombing of bridges, mosques or imambargahs.

Plus, MQM might have voting power and base in the Urban Sindh but in other three provinces, MQM has nothing to impress upon so forget doing such heineous crimes.

You should remember one point that every thief, muderer or perpetrator only commits an act where he has partisan and closest place to disappear or hide after commiting the crime. Maulana Azam Tariq and dozens of other leaders of Sipah-e-Sahaba and Shia leaders were killed in other three provinces too besides Sindh (Karachi).

I hate to make this open statement but I have to because not only you just played dumb but hypocritically tried to divert the topic to another side.

Don’t you know that the Sunni extremist parties and their leaders outright deny shias of all kinds (Agha Khani, Bohri) and Qadianis, Ahmadis, Lahoris as non-Muslims. They preach that killing of these sects is sawaab. Thus they have people with in them with plight in both Shia and Sunni columns who have been religiously motivated and brain-washed to kill each others leaders and personnel and go to paradise.

You take the history of secretarian killings of last 10-15 years and find that if one shia leader is killed one day than after few weeks, a Sunni leader is killed in retaliation and if a Sunni leader is killed than after few weeks Shia leader is gunned down. If someone blows a mosque or does mass killing than after sometime an imambargar is targetted by another suicidal attacks or mass firing. This hide and seek and turn by turn killing is on and on and is 100% engineered by these two groups Shia and Sunnis.

To blame Indian Raw, MQM, JI is the worst goofish thing one could imagine. The world media, intelligence agencies, organizations and leaders all over the world know who kills who but no one ever…ever blamed those killings by MQM, JI or even Al-Qaida or Taliban. This is high tech time and it cannot be hidden by intelligence agencies that who is doing what?

This is purely…110% is the job of Shia and Sunni killing each other. Both are maniacs and fanatics and lost their brains in religious hatred.

I would advise you to go to hundreds and thousands of national and international websites to update your knowledge.

The interesting thing is those who are killed, whether Shia or Sunni never ever blamed MQM or Ji for those killings but you are the one who got up and broke this news of MQM/JI.

Just last year the biggest Sunni leader Maulana Azam Tariq was murdered in broad day light in Islamabad while coiming from or going to National assembly and he was escorted by a dozen armed security Jan-Nisar but those who came to kill him were betterly prepared. No group or average party could dare to kill a person like that except maniacs who have the plight or brain-washed and those are Shia Sunni themselves.

It was same kind of murder like Murtaza Bhutto who was equally well-guarded by his security men but military intelligence killed him. Such murders could only take place by the MOST powerful hidden hands of agencies or rival religious groups itself.

If you look all over the world, Muslims are killing Muslims in greater number than Americans, Israeli or Indians.

Currently, there are at least half a dozen Muslim oriented slaughter houses formed by Muslims for the Muslims…Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kashmir, Palestine…

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

Once again jumpin the gun, jumping to conclusions, making assumptions which suite your prejuidices. If anyone is acting like a rightwing fundo (ashcroft) its narrowminded religious rightwing fascists ppl like yourself. Blaming everyone esle for their oqn follies, beating up innocentv ppl, targetting others simply bcos they hv a different view of life. Well, go sermonize to someone else who will believe your BS..

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

Nobod is making excuses, but your own silly imagination. How about this for your fantasy world: “Well if he had anti shia sentiment, its good he was taken out. WHo knows how many murders he ordered or carried out. All these rightwing fundos are nutballs and got what they deserved” Now this cud be a true statement, is this the kinda language u understand?

Re: Sunni Muslim cleric killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Former SHO, two other activists arrested: Killing of JI leader, Binori ulema
By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, June 29: Police on Wednesday arrested an inspector for his alleged involvement in murder of Jamat-i-Islami leader Aslam Mujahid and two activists of a banned sectarian outfit for their alleged involvement in killing of a religious scholar and his associate on Burnes Road. A senior police officer said: “We have formally arrested the former station house officer of Korangi Industrial Area police station, Inspector Anwar Jafri, as we believe his involvement in the murder of Aslam Mujahid.”

He said that Anwar Jafri would be produced before a court for remand. During remand, the investigators would inquire him about the murder and involvement of his accomplices. More arrests could be possible in the case, he added.

Aslam Mujahid was allegedly kidnapped from Landhi while he was returning from funeral of a local leader of Jamat-i-Islami. Later, his bullet-riddled body was found in Korangi Industrial Area. Police lodged the FIR after a lapse of five days.

In ulema killing case, official sources said that the Investigation Zone-1 police found some clues to the suspects and they believed involvement of a banned sectarian outfit — Sipah-i-Mohammad Pakistan — behind the killings of Mufti Ateequr Rehman and his associate Maulana Irshadul Haq on last Thursday.

A senior police officer on condition of anonymity said: “We have picked up two activists of the banned organization. They are hard core elements in the organization and we are hopeful that they would lead us to the real killers.” However, he did not disclose the names of those picked up saying that it would not appropriate at the very moment as the publicity of their names could hamper the process of investigation.

The officer said that the involvement of Raza Imam, chief of the banned outfit, could not be ruled out in the killing of Mufti Ateequr Rehman. He dispelled the impression that Raza Imam had left the country. “We have credible information that he (Raza Imam) is very much in the city,” he firmly said.

Mufti Ateequr Rehman, his 10-year-old son Ammad, and his associate Maulana Irshadul Haq came under attack by unidentified gunmen on June 23. Ammad survived the attack and later helped the police in drawing of a sketch of one of the possible attackers.

Meanwhile, the Minister of State on Religious Affairs, Amir Liaquat Hussain, thanked the people of Jamia Binnoria for providing him shelter and saving his life.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said that he forgave those who had maltreated and manhandled him when he arrived at Jamia Binnoria to attend funeral prayers of Mufti Ateequr Rehman and Maulana Irshad. He thanked Mufti Naeem, his associates and those ‘veiled’ girls who rescued him.
