Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) on the Eid (eid ul azha) day

Eid Mubarak to All.

Could someone highlight in detail as what the prophet (pbuh) used to do on Eid day. specifically I want to know:

  1. He(pbuh) used to go to offer eid prayer without eating anything. is it just eating or even drinking as well?

  2. Sacrifice the animal after offering prayer and then eat. Can the person doing the sacrifice eat anything after sacrifice or should he wait till the meat is available? i.e., the first thing that he should eat on the eid day should be the meat of sacrificial animal. right?

  3. Sacrifice: I have seen some butchers cut the jugular vein and to speed up the process, they quickly break the neck bone. I think it is totally wrong. what do you guys think?

Good questions. I've read the sunnah is to eat after Eid ul Adha, whereas for Eid ul Fitr the sunnah is to eat something sweet before salah.
