Sunehray Din

u people remeber Sunehray Din directed by famous director Shoiab mansoor and i think the leading male role was played by Saleem Sheikh …i dont remember the lady in that drama…
what a lovely drama that was…light comedy, but very good acting ,direction and u know it had every ingredient that makes a drama successful …
i m now planning to buy the dvd of the drama …n watch it again to have the flavour of drama which is one of my all time favourite but i have seen it just once…
your thoughts about Sunehray Din …and one thing the name of drama is just perfect …it gives strange feeling of good old dayz…ahh

yep RT was very nice daram ...

Rising Tempest
great thread!
i think SD has been Pakistan's greatest TV production ever! firts because it was about the army and second, it was created by Shoiab mansoor, the legend! Saleem Sheik was great in it and so were others like Hammed Wain (his grand dad), his course mates who were real cadets.
I think it was even better than ABC. I have SD on VHS and have seen it a million times and end up watching it every time im bored.
it brings back a lot of memories, back in the early 90s when i was in Isb...good old days. the drama was shot in Isb and Abbotabad.
my love for the army grew stronger after i got to watch this serial at age 8-9.
salutes again to SM.

one of my most favorite dramas of all time :k: :k: :k:

very sweet, light but touching, and funny…i LOVED it

have watched it several times and never get tired of it

guys remember…

aa gya hay kyun kaakool
tere jaisa bloody fool :hehe:

Alpha Brave Charlie was a sequel of Sunehrey Din minus Saleem Sheikh. Both were great but I liked ABC more just becasue of the way it was shot. They actually took is to Siachin glaciers. Nevertheless both great dramas.

ABC was much better directed, the cast worked harder on their acting skills, had a broader storyline, plus the foriegn (and ofcourse siachin) shoot outs!

However, Sunehrey din was more fun to watch, because of the light humour, and the way they showed islamabad. Also, having studied with Gentlemen cadet, I could relate to it. The girl didnt know how to act though. However, Shehnaz in ABC did a wonderful job!!

Brilliant work by Shaoib Mansoor, and more importantly, to ISPR for coming up with two smash hits.

'Agaya hai kyoon Kakool, terey jaisa blood fool'

:)

digital,
you better watch it asap!

i think i'll pick up my dusty VHSs now and watch it yet again! :)

remember when the cadets were passing through a stream of water on an exercise and two village men sitting on the sides said;
"aye paar likh lainde te aaj innan da ei haal na hoonda"
(had they been educated they would never have had to face such treatment)
thinking they were labours or somethging...

yes harris u r very right....that was the drama that people can watch even million times...
unfortunately i have seen it just once....and i dont even remeber much of it...so i better watch it again soon...
