I think have so many sia din - dark days but very few golden days in Pakistan History!

apart from 14th August I guess the followgs are strong candidates for Golden day of Pakistan

6th September 1965 - defence day
7th September 1965 - Air superiority over india!
1971 - Hockey World Cup Win
1978 - Hockey World Cup Win
1982 - Hockey World Cup Win
1994 - Hockey World Cup Win
25th March 1992 - Cricket World Cup Win
28 May 1998 - Declared Nuclear State
20 July 2007 - CJ case Indepedence of judiciary!

great but infrastructure wise, we may have other candidates too, ie Terbela & mangla dams, Motorways (M2, M3, M1 etc). Indus river systems in 1960s

lets limit this to only acheivment days in Pakistan history

I can not forget that day in 1982 when our hockey team defeated India by 7-1 at the Asian Games Final. Indra Gandhi was herself present over there. Jang published her frustrating and defeated face after every goal except the first one when India scored their solitary goal.

I think that was more like army acted when mushy was sacked by NS. so in similar way Judiciary defended its own chief.

How this independent Judiciary work for People of Pakistan is yet to be seen!

recent judgment is rather confused and playing safe to avoid possible martial law from mushy if decided against his election.

I am wondering no one is filing anything against the deal of BB and mushy to finish all cases against her and other looters.

Unfortunately for you, and fortunately for us, history does not skip events like an old CD player. There is several events prior and subsequent to the 20th July decision that prove a lack of will on the executive’s part to let the judiciary act independently.

But all this is trivial. I am holding up for our new overlord to dethorne the old kingdom and impose a new world order. By all accounts, Kiyani is a finer soldier and general, for instance, he did not write an affidavit against the CJ. He does not indulge in political activities..oh really? and best of all, he is cool with the amreekans. Does not sport a mustache, and does not have a tonddd! Impressive. Impressive. Impressive.

I think he’ll make a fine President. :jhanda:
