Well in case some of you dont know, and are curious to know.
The Suneeta shaadi lehnga was quoted to me for 5 laakh (pkr)
And the mehdi outfit the Mehreen model is walking down on the ramp wearing is for approx 375000 pkr. It has less work on the shirt than the Suneeta one.
There is another one which is the same concept as the suneeta and the mehreen model one. But the only different thing is, this lehnga only has kaam on the neckline, hem and borders. And apparently nothing on the kameez itself. And it is for 3 laakh.
Phew ! hope it this information comes beneficial for someone if not, then its always nice to know the prices ! Im attaching the picture of the last mentioned lehnga:

i like many mehdi bridals but i didnt find anything particularly great about the one posted above or the one worn by suneeta but she looked soo pretty!

just for ur info that joda COST about 30- 40 000 if not less! i hate these abnormal designer margins..

But thats just off topic atm.
Suneeta did look pretty, but i was not so keened about the motifs on the lehnga upwards!

with all the general and marketing costs im sure it costs more than 30-40k. and when u go to a designer ur not just paying for the market cost of the fabric and embroidery. im sure u know that. he can price his products at whatever price he wants. u dont have to buy it.

Mehdi is quite popular! Or maybe i just think that cuz my bridal is mehdi This is the one i’m going for…what do u guys think? but i changed a few things on it…insha’Allah I’ll be getting it in june

I don't remember how much it was in rupee's but i think it came out to be around $4300.
I tried to contact Mehdi myself at first but they never got back to me...so I just had someone I know from Pak go there and order it. Which is probably better for me b/c I'm sure the price would have been higher had I ordered from here. In my experience designers usually tend to give people outside of pak even higher prices.

yeah i know about that aswell. I tried contacting him aswell, but someone who worked for him replied me back. And he just wudnt tell me his name.. and after i kept and kept asking for his name, at the end he told me. But i think the prices are too much. But i think you got the outfit for a good price, compared to what these wackos charge today !! If you dont mind me asking, what changes are you gettn made in this outfit ? and what are you getting added ???

Yeah i think i got a good deal too considering it’s a designer.
I’m just making small changes, but the designs of the lehenga is going to remain the same, just with long sleeves. This pic is really blurry but you can see a clear version of this lehenga in a magazine and the work on it has a lot of sitaray (sequins) which I don’t like. So i’m getting dabka with a lot of rhinestones so it looks more sparkly (sort of like how HSY’s work is) and hardly any sequins on it.
And inthis pic the piping/trimming of this outfit is green and i don’t like that at all b/c it’s sooo common to find green/blue piping on a red lehenga. So mine is going to have a deep deep shade of purple. I know it sounds funky but i actually saw a few lehenga’s that have a little purple with the red and it looked really nice! Here are some examples:
I’m also going to carry 2 dupatta’s. One of them is the one that it shown in the pic, which is going to be on my head. And I’m getting another one made from crushed jamawar that is the deep purple and the borders have this golden work on that i’m going to carry around my arms for some of the time…Sorta like this HSY pic:

Red and purple go together very well so I'm sure it will look fabulous! As far as the two dupattas go, I also wanted to do what ur planning to do and layer realized I was barely able to carry one cuz my outfit was too heavy. So just be aware of that.
